Will Avellar pitched 5 1/3 innings for the Cardinals on June 3, allowing only one hit with five strikeouts and two walks, keeping the Red Sox shutout until the sixth inning. The Cardinals also remained scoreless until the fifth inning when Julian Pelzner slammed a double, followed by Daniel Ratto&#8217;s two-RBI single, and Bronson Lee&#8217;s one-run double. Red Sox pitcher Devin Noonan pitched 3 1/3 shutout innings, yielding five strikeouts and one walk. Clay Harding&#8217;s single put the Red Sox on the board, bringing in Isaac Delao, who had drawn a walk.</p>

On Saturday, June 5, on the final day of the season for both teams, Davis Tansey led an offensive explosion for the Knights, driving in five runs with a triple and home run. Grant Bevan was three-for-three with three triples and three RBIs, and struck out two in his scoreless inning of work on the hill. Daniel Alvarado, Josh Soltz, Nicholas Saikley and Kai Chin all pitched well for the Knights, and held the Red Wings’ bats in check. Miles Burton added three hits, driving in three runs, and Dallin Stewart lined a two-run double and an RBI single to help pace the Knights’ offense.</p>

On Saturday, June 5, the Bees&#8217; Ernest Ho was the team&#8217;s RBI leader, driving in five runs. Ameer Omar added an inside-the-park home run, and Jayshawn Wise dominated in pitching, striking out six batters in two innings. The Diamond Jaxx&#8217;s Luis Ronquillo hit a two-run double in the first. Deagland Rossi-Tormey also contributed both defensively from the mound as well as offensively, driving in three runs. David Tuutafaiva and Christian Collins both scored on the day, Collins crossing home plate off of Michael Waldman&#8217;s second inning double.</p>

<p><strong>20/20 and Team Parent Sponsored Tigers vs. Alain Pinel Realty Marlins</strong><br />
In their final game of the season on June 6, Tiger Campbell Walter played a good all around game, lining two singles and stopping a well-hit ball from the pitcher&#8217;s mound. Caimain McKay got two singles, one RBI, and did an outstanding job at first base. Cooper Boyle smacked a single and showed hustle at third base, and Henry Mills got two singles and played a great shortstop for the Tigers. For the Marlins, Stephan Schneider hit a double and a home run, and caught a fly ball for an out. Tibor Thompson got two singles and forced a runner at second base, and Jordan Alva added two singles and made a sparkling play for an out at third base.</p>

On May 20, Dodger Matthew Esparza pitched four innings against the Tigers, allowing one run on three hits, striking out eight and walking two. Ryan Hosokawa pitched the final two innings, allowing seven runs on seven hits, striking out three and walking two. Offensively, Esparza was four for four with five RBIs on a home run, a double and two singles. Hosokawa had two singles and an RBI, Steve Manzo drove in two runs with a double and two singles, Avi Graber brought in three runs with a double and a single and Brennan Kamphuis had two singles. The Tigers mound was shared by Angel Munoz, Abraham Saikley, Ben Fetzer and Joseph Rockwell, who combined for 10 runs on 13 hits, seven strikeouts and five walks. Saikley’s bat brought in four runs on two singles, Fetzer had a single and a double with an RBI, and Munoz had two doubles and batted in a run. Jesse Cruz brought in a run with a double. Erik Galvan had two singles and Edan Winckler had a single.</p>

Avi Graber opened the game on the mound for the Dodgers on May 22, allowing two runs on two hits, striking out four and walking one. Steve Manzo took over in the third inning, allowing three runs on six hits, striking out six and walking three. Joey Lopez was two for three with two doubles and an RBI. Brennan Kamphuis batted in a run and was two for three with two singles. Manzo brought in two runs with a single and a double. Tyler Middleton had an RBI with a single, Matt Esparza brought in three runs and had a single, and Ryan Hosokawa had a single. For the Red Sox, Devin Noonan pitched three innings, allowing 10 runs on seven hits, striking out one and walking three. Jacob Smith pitched the final two innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out three and walking two. Clay Harding went two for three with a single and a double and Smith had two singles. Noonan batted in a run with a single and Andrew Leung had two RBIs and a single. Brannen Elshire brought in a run with a single and Nate Low batted in a run.</p>
<p><strong>MorganStanley Smith Barney, The Bail Group Cardinals 11, Vanguard Construction Twins 10</strong><br />
Branden Woo delivered the game-winning hit for the Cardinals on May 22 as they rallied in the bottom of the sixth inning from a six-run deficit. Bronson Lee went four for four, driving in a total of four runs and Daniel Ratto also contributed two runs with a double. Will Avellar and Lee each pitched three innings. Nick Solis pitched five innings for the Twins and went three for three at the plate, driving in a combined five runs with a single, triple and out of the park home run. Colby Freeman and Mitchell Macahara each pitched in the sixth inning.  Carson Bridges and Matt Achramowicz also contributed to the Twins&#8217; offense.</p>

<p><strong>U.S. Window Renewal, Inc. River Cats 10, G and L Plumbing Mudcats 4</strong><br />
On May 8, the River Cats jumped out to an 8-2 lead after two innings and cruised to victory.  The River Cats&#8217; Justin Cavalli had a pair of hits and three RBIs. Taylor Sawyer also had a pair of RBIs. Conor Neal, Nathan Wong and Erik Ayala each had a pair of hits. For the Mudcats, Gregory Sagara had a pair of hits and two RBIs. Max Swinderman and Cody Lim each also had a pair of hits.</p>
<p><strong>G and L Plumbing Mudcats 13, Toyota of Oakland Express 12</strong><br />
On May 15, the Mudcats were down 12-8 in the sixth inning, and they scored five runs with two out for the victory. In the final inning, Valentino Leite started the rally with an infield single. After a double to right by Cody Lim, Chris Weber drove in two runs, Tyler Fong drove in a run and Gregory Sagara hit the first pitch he saw for the game-winning double, plating two runs. Zach Repsold made his pitching debut for the Mudcats and got the victory. The Express&#8217; Francisco Pedraza hit an inside-the-park three-run homer in the first inning. With the Mudcats up 8-4, a six-run fifth inning put the Express back in front, with Eric Fong and Liam Hayes each driving in two runs. Sam Wettergren made a nice catch in the final inning after colliding with his pitcher.</p>
<p><strong>G &amp; L Plumbing Mudcats 8, Alameda Firefighters Association Hooks 3</strong><br />
In a well-played game that was close much of the way, the Mudcats beat the Hooks, 8-3, on May 17. They were led by Tristan Wiley, who pitched three scoreless innings in relief and also hit an RBI triple, as well as starting pitcher Max Swinderman, who didn’t allow any runs after the Hooks scored three in the first inning. For the Hooks, Nolan Floyd pitched two scoreless innings, Kaelin Rooney hit a single and had an RBI, and Jason Gee added a single.</p>
<p><strong>G and L Plumbing Mudcats 14, Health Chiropractic Center Bulls 7</strong><br />
On May 22, in a game where the lead went back and forth through the first three innings, Tristan Wiley broke a 7-7 tie with an RBI single that put the Mudcats ahead for good. Wiley had three hits and three RBIs. The Mudcats&#8217; Jacob Yalung also scored three times and drove in a pair with a double. Tyler Fong also went three for three with three runs, two doubles and an RBI. For the Bulls, Dominic Moore was three for three with three RBIs, Preston Barber was two for three with an RBI and Tino Mahoney scored a pair of runs.</p>

<p><strong>Shooting Stars Productions Storm 7, Rock Wall Winery Riverdogs 0</strong><br />
On May 14, the Riverdogs started out with strong defense by Parker Lincoln and Tairin Parker. Alex Olaes made some exceptional plays, including throwing several outs at first base. Noah Ahmed combined good hitting with good defense throughout the game. For the Storm, Max Turner continued to throw accurately from the pitcher&#8217;s mound with three strikeouts in each of the two innings he pitched. Joshua Hui played good defense at third base. LJ Rose was tough at shortstop and threw an out at first base.</p>

Miles Abadia of the Rattlers was recipient of the game ball, hit well and put in a stellar performance as catcher. Cameron Thomas had two hits, including a triple and the game-winning RBI. Adam Dean made key throws from the outfield, hit well and had an RBI. Ryan Wong drove in Conrad Chipman for the first Sand Gnats’ run in the second inning. Mike Harris followed with an RBI single that scored Wong and put the Sand Gnats up 2-1. Keelan Good and Davis Stewart both reached base twice with solid singles to help start Sand Gnats rallies in the first and third innings.</p>

<p><strong>Sushi House Rays vs. East Ocean Chinese Restaurant Mariners</strong><br />
David Thomas and Luis Ramirez-Verduzco blasted several multi-base hits on May 16.  Tommy Igo and Matthew Layag produced fielding gems, while William Norboe recorded three unassisted outs in the same inning. Tommy Barbey had a first pitch hit. Max Hernandez hit a fly ball to the outfield. James Freeman and Jack Harris teamed up for a force out at third. Curt Hennecke tagged a runner out. All of the Mariners had fun.</p>
<p><strong>Tim Marr Harbor Bay Angels vs. 20/20 and Team Parent Sponsored Tigers</strong><br />
In their May 16 game, fielding standouts for the Angels were Ricky Glover, with an outstanding play in the outfield, and Michelangelo Alessio, with a put out at third. At bat, Joanna Ruiz smacked the ball deep into center field and Joshua Blackman made a line drive.  For the Tigers, Cosmos Restagno made consecutive outs at first and Nathan Connick made outs at first and fourth. Jack Johnston nailed a drive to left and Brandon Lee made four RBIs and was a heads up player throughout the game.</p>
<p><strong>Encinal Market Orioles vs. Alain Pinel Realtors Marlins</strong><br />
James Glaviano&#8217;s amazing arm resulted in several close plays at first base, while Devin Casias guarded home plate as catcher. Speedy Emmitt Phinney tagged several players out at second base, and Shane Connolly hit a powerful line drive into the outfield.</p>
<p><strong>Littler Mendelson, P.C. Royals vs. Baskin Robbins Alameda Ice Cream Store A’s</strong><br />
In an incredible show of support, the Littler Royals shed their uniforms and donned YES on MEASURE E uniforms on Sunday, May 23. The positive vibes transferred to the field. Both teams had the bats going with Gabe Rubio circling the bases for the first home run of the season for the Royals!  Cole Emerson got in on the action with a blast to left field for a long single. Jonathan Schnoebelen laced a line drive that was snared by the A’s Lukas Mann, who instinctually threw the ball to Liam McDonough to double up Miles Taylor. For the Royals, Jay Khadder came through with a nifty play at short stop to throw Colin Wehman out at third base.</p>
<p><strong>Encinal Market Orioles vs. 20/20 and Team Parent Sponsored Tigers</strong><br />
In their May 23 game, for the Orioles Hiram Eugene, Jr. led off team&#8217;s strong hitting streak.  Sam Meyer&#8217;s strong hit in the second inning helped bring a teammate home. At third base, Evan Cavanaugh kept the ball in play for an out. Justin Wong hit a powerful line drive to center field.  For the Tigers, fielding standouts were Aidan Olson&#8217;s hustle on the pitching mound, an out at third by Ben Ratto, and Alex Waldman&#8217;s heads up catching.  At bat, Jack Johnston hit a double and Henry Mills hit two singles.</p>

On May 15, the Tigers scored the first seven runs of the game, and with good pitching and defense stayed ahead of the Giants for a 13-6 victory. Tigers Jessie Cruz had four hits and Angel Munoz three hits, and Angel successfully fielded several hard hits by the Giants to the shortstop area. On May 15, the Dodgers&#8217; bats hammered out 15 hits, including seven hits for extra bases. Tony Torres had a home run and a single, Joey Lopez and Matt Esparza each had a home run and a double, Avi Graber had a triple and two doubles, Brennan Kamphuis had a triple, Steve Manzo had three singles, and Ryan Hosokawa had two singles. On the mound, Esparza pitched four innings, allowing two hits, striking out eight and walking one. Hosokawa pitched the final two innings, allowing no hits, striking out two and walking one. Sebastion Silva, Daniel Ratto, Aaron Keys and Marcus Gilbert were the pitchers for the Cardinals, allowing 15 hits, striking out six and walking six. Offensively, Julian Pelzner had a double and Eric Martinez had a single. Brandon Woo hit a ball hard in the top of the sixth inning to drive Bronson Lee in for a run.</p>

<p><strong>Alameda Firefighters Association Hooks 6, Health Chiropractic Center Bulls 3</strong><br />
Led by the pitching of Kaelin Rooney, Bryce Bromberger and Nolan Floyd, the Hooks beat the Bulls, 6-3, on May 10. Despite feeling ill, Bromberger hit two singles, stole two bases, and made two outstanding catches of infield popups. Also playing well for the Hooks were Christian Gross, who hit a triple, stole home, and had one RBI;  Matteo Ratto with his two hits; Mitchell Floyd, who walked and stole a base; and Will Osborn, who made an outstanding diving catch at shortstop to close out the game. For the Bulls, Preston Barber caught a hard line drive at first base and had two hits, and Henry Canalin had two hits, and also pitched two innings.</p>

The Rattlers’ Eric Jarecki, recipient of the game ball, went 2-for-2, scored two runs  and made key plays in the field. Ben Byers had four put-outs, two hits and two RBIs. Liam Johnson-Sandoval assisted in four outs and had three hits including a walk-off, game-ending shot to right center with two outs in the bottom of the sixth. The Lugnuts’ Eric Slez had two hits, Trace Tega hit the ball well and Tanner Roizen was a star on defense.</p>
<p><strong>Rock Wall Winery Riverdogs 7,  J.P. Seafood Bees 5</strong><br />
On May 10, Harrison Rogers started out with strong pitching for the Riverdogs in the first and second innings. Max Nyrop hit a single to center field, adding two more RBIs to his numbers.  Evan Kettles tagged a stealing base runner going to second  in the fifth inning.  Jack Farner continued the Riverdogs’ pitching power with six strikeouts in the fourth and fifth innings. The Bees’ Ameer Omar was a force at third base, with Brendan Mills and Brandon Wong providing good defense. Oscar Knox-White also pitched well, giving up only three runs in two innings.</p>

<p><strong>Pappo Ironbirds 27, Rodgers Trucking Blue Claws 6</strong><br />
Arvin Enkhbold, Jackson Wills, and Bowman Roach put on an unrelenting offensive show for the Ironbirds, in what was a battle between teams tied for first place. Dallas Rider hit a three-run home run to cap a perfect evening at the plate in the win. Nirina Parrish scored three times for the Blue Claws.</p>
<p><strong>C&#8217;era Una Volta Muckdogs 14, Rodgers Trucking Blue Claws 7</strong><br />
Jarod Cheung, James Capp, Sophie Nillson, and Gabriel Seidel had impressive games both offensively and defensively, as the Muckdogs continued their ascent up the Single A standings in a recent contest against the scuffling Blue Claws. Ronald Robertson hit a three-run homer for the Claws in a four-run first inning.</p>

In their May 16 game, fielding standouts for the Angels were Ricky Glover, with an outstanding play in the outfield, and Michelangelo Alessio, with a put-out at third. At bat, Joanna Ruiz smacked the ball deep into center field and Joshua Blackman made a line drive.  For the Tigers, Cosmos Restagno made consecutive outs at first and Nathan Connick made outs at first and fourth. Jack Johnston nailed a drive to left and Brandon Lee made four RBIs and was a heads-up player throughout the game.</p>
<p><strong>Littler Mendelson, P.C. Royals vs. Allied Administrators Twins</strong><br />
Sunday’s action was fast and furious as the Royals battled the Twins. Miles Taylor and Nathan Yoo provided an offensive spark for the Royals and Gabe Rubio’s hit to the outfield was impressive. Miles’ aggressive base running was foiled on a close play at the plate. Nathan cleared the based with a nice hit in the bottom of the first. Joey Green played great defensively, catching a fly ball for the second out of the third inning. Jay Khadder also recorded an out at second and will not soon forget a big collision at home with the Twins catcher. Quinn Dooley from the Twins was swinging a big bat with two hits that kept the Royals on their heels. Kayla Billetter showed off her arm strength throwing two Royals runners out from her pitchers position.</p>
<p><strong>Encinal Market Orioles vs. TEC Electric White Sox</strong><br />
For the Orioles, Ezra Frary had a stellar play, tagging out a runner at third base. Sean Culberg-McClung&#8217;s powerful throws ruled the infield. James Glaviano guarded home plate as catcher and led the team in hustling in and out of the dugout. Emmitt Phinney and Nicholas Stermer has line drives to the outfield and brought runners home.</p>

On May 1, the Mudcats won with some big offensive contributions. Joshua Guerrero had an inside the park two-run homer and a double. Liam Lonergan added a pair of hits and two RBIs. Tenoa Swayne had a pair of hits and three RBIs and Tristan Wiley had four hits, four RBIs and two triples. For the Red Wings, Sebastian Verm had two RBIs and a run scored. Adam Ames and Han Winchester also drove in runs. Yishan McNabb and Max Bell flashed some great glove work for the Red Wings.</p>
<p><strong>Tomatina’s Iron Pigs 24, Alameda Firefighters Association Hooks 5</strong><br />
In a strong display of hitting and pitching the Iron Pigs beat the Hooks, 24-5, on May 5. They were led by Willie Mein who had three hits, and added and seven strikeouts in his two-plus innings of pitching, Connor Thomas pitched two scoreless innings, and Adam Bail pitched a scoreless inning and added a triple. For the Hooks, Mitchell Floyd and Garrett Shay made a great outfield catches, and Shay also pitched well in the sixth inning. Christian Gross contributed by hitting a two-run single as the Hooks tried come back in the fourth inning.</p>

On Monday, April 26, the Sea Dogs&#8217; Elian Pelayo slammed a double, driving in the first run of the game. Later Ale Sanchez doubled, driving in three more, to cap off a five-run fourth inning. The Diamond Jaxx&#8217;s Deaglan Rossi-Tormey doubled two runs in the fifth, and Megan Ina flashed great defense, running down and tagging out two Sea Dogs runners.</p>
<p><strong>Harvest Food Products Co. Inc. Diamond Jaxx 21, Dr. Parker D.D.S. Defenders 6</strong><br />
On Saturday, May 1, Defenders&#8217; players Joey and Brian hit RBI singles to plate four runs in the fourth inning. Joey hit a double in the sixth for an RBI. The Diamond Jaxx’s Ryan Sparks hit a bases-loaded, three-run double in the second inning, allowing Christian Collins, Megan Ina, Richie Be and Michael Waldman to cross home plate. Waldman also doubled in the first inning.</p>
<p><strong>Rockwall Riverdogs 10, Dr. Parker D.D.S. Defenders 4</strong><br />
On May 3, Colin Chan led off the Riverdogs with a double. Padraig Lane then followed with a single, eventually stealing three bases, including home. Mathew Cooper caught a high pop fly in the sun on the pitchers mound. Joseph DePinna closed the game with three strikeouts, and earned the game ball for his efforts. The Defenders&#8217; Auden Conway pitched hard and fast with several strikeouts. At first base, Dylan Goode made several unassisted outs late in the game.</p>

For the Rattlers, Jack Pace, recipient of the game ball, went three for three, had two RBIs and made key plays in the outfield and at catcher. Sean Mackenzie&#8217;s multi-hours of batting practice paid off with two hits, two runs scored and two RBIs. Jacob McNamee had clutch plays in the field, went three for three and scored a run. For the Scrappers, Isa Arroyo-Salugsugan hit two doubles and Marcus Magallanes drove in three runs to keep the Scrappers close, while Jackson Ade made several timely outs from the pitcher’s mound.</p>

The Mariners and Royals celebrated this past Sunday by treating their moms to a great game.  The Royals&#8217; Diego Guerrero laced a single to left side of the field late in the second inning to clear the bases. Lee-John Majerus also contributed with timely hits and great base running.  The Royals defense recorded several outs including some nifty plays by Will Arerns at catcher and Zachary Hayward at pitcher. The Mariners offense kept the Royals on their toes with many hard hits. The players supported each other throughout the game by cheering each other on.</p>
<p><strong>The East Ocean Chinese Restaurant Blue Jays  vs. Baskin Robbins Ice Cream Store of Alameda A&#8217;s</strong><br />
On Sunday May 2, the Blue Jays had solid hitting and fielding from the team. Their hitting power came from game Harry Gleicher and Andrew Russo. In the field, third basemen Michael Proffitt&#8217;s play earned him game MVP with the help of short stop Leo Miranda. For the A&#8217;s, Liam McDonough had two hits and great base running to score one run. Lukas Mann had two hits and made a diving out at first base. Ben Ting was the MVP, with two hits and great fielding at second base.</p>
<p><strong>20/20 and Team Parent Sponsored Tigers vs. Gallagher &amp; Lindsey Indians</strong><br />
In their May 2 match-up, Tiger Sam Bilstein had a pair of RBIs and two outs at second, Dylan Manabat showed fielding hustle, Aidan Olson and Cooper Boyle made drives to left, and Kyle Spaulding made a great catch at third base to end the second inning. Indians defense continues to gel. Eli Siltanen and Nate Stackler combined for many outs in a pitcher to catcher combination. Jeffrey Hodge also fielded outs to third base from the pitcher&#8217;s position. Game balls were awarded to Jeffrey Hodge and Eli Siltanen.</p>
<p><strong>Baskin Robbins Ice Cream Store at Alameda A&#8217;s vs. Tim Marr, Harbor Bay Realty Angels</strong><br />
On Sunday May 9, the A&#8217;s had solid hitting and scored nine runs. Nolan Johnson had a huge hit in the third inning to score a run. Tyler Luton provided a solid hit in the third inning and great base running to score one run. Colin Wehmann was the MVP with a great play from the outfield to second for one out and two big hits to score two runs.</p>

On Mother’s Day, May 9, the Tigers&#8217; Caimain McKay led the batting with a double, and Henry Mills had two strong singles and an RBI. Ben Ratto was on the ball with fleet fielding at pitcher and two outs at first. Dylan Manabat also contributed three outs and an RBI to the team. For the Twins, brothers Turean Bowman and Ja’dan Bowman both hustled for plays in the field and singles at each at bat. Adam Hoepker smacked two singles to center field and hustled in the field, making an out at first with able assistance from Kellen Sellers.</p>
<p><strong>Sushi House Rays vs. East Ocean Restaurant Blue Jays</strong><br />
Anthony Yalung, Zane Bohne and Matthew Layag each had multiple hits for the Rays on May 9.  David Thomas and Jake Harberson made a outstanding infield plays at first and second base. For the Jays, Michael Proffitt, Leo Miranda and Jay Camera had extra base hits, while infielders Aaron Garcia and Harry Gleicher played great defense.</p>
<p><strong>Encinal Market Orioles vs. McGee’s Bar and Grill Red Sox</strong><br />
On Sunday, May 9, the game started on a sentimental note as all the players presented the moms in their lives with roses in honor of Mother&#8217;s Day. As the game started, Zak Zimmerman ruled the outfield and stopped a line drive. Kenji Salsbury&#8217;s hard hitting led him around the bases more than once. Joseph Donovan&#8217;s eagle eyes as catcher resulted in some close plays at home plate. Garrett Deatherage showed his power as a hitter and a fielder and kept the score close.</p>

At the bottom of the second inning, Sam Meyer poked the ball up the middle for a single beating out the throw. In the bottom of the third, Shane Connolly hit a line drive to left, bringing Devon Casis two bases to third. Hiriam Eugene, Jr. tagged out two runners from behind the plate.</p>

There were first inning singles for Miles SooHoo, and Gryphon Norberg. In the second inning, there was a blast out of the infield by Jenna Hart, and Nathaniel Basco’s hustle turns a single turns into an HR! Cooper Brotze turned in a great stop at pitcher, with a solid throw to first. Zach King turned in two sparkling defensive plays at first, and Henry Erwin made a great throw from the mound. Nathan Yu ripped a single to open the fourth inning, and Graziella Basco lined a base hit to center.</p>

Avi Graber took the ball and pitched five innings, struck out eight, allowed one walk, four hits and two runs. Ryan Hosokawa pitched the final inning, struck out one and allowed four hits, two walks and four runs. Offensively, Hosokawa went four for four and scored four times. Matt Esparza went three for three with one double, two singles and an RBI.  Manzo drove in four runs with two singles and Graber batted in a run with a triple. Devin Noonan pitched five innings for the Red Sox, allowed five runs on seven hits, walked two and struck out six. Andrew Leung closed the game, struck out one, walked three and allowed two runs on two hits. The Red Sox bats had 12 hits. Leung went three for four with two doubles, one single and two RBIs. Clay Harding had a single and a double and drove in a run. Nicolas Aguilera had two singles with three RBIs. Jacob Smith, Noonan, Nate Low, Ben Wilson, and Brannen Elshire all had singles.</p>

On April 26, the Mudcats scored eight runs in the second inning and coasted to victory. Cody Lim opened the big inning with an infield hit, Tenoa Swayne had a bases-loaded single and Jacob Hugger added a bases-loaded double. The Mudcats&#8217; Tristan Wiley added three hits and Chris Weber had a pair of RBIs. For the Bats, Kody Johnston flashed some nice glove work at third base. Kyle Kathman scored a pair of runs in the lead-off spot and Casey Winckler and Morgan Griffith each added RBIs.</p>
<p><strong>DOER Marine Bats 7, G and L Plumbing Mudcats 4</strong><br />
On April 23, the Bats took an early 4-0 in the first and never looked back. The Bats&#8217; Lewie Owens pitched two effective innings, allowing only one run, and he was two for two with an RBI. Ryan Lym also had a pair of hits and a run scored. The Bats&#8217; Jared Kathman closed out the game and also had two hits and two RBIs. For the Mudcats, Tyler Fong had a pair of hits, one a double, and an RBI. Max Swinderman also had two hits, one a triple and an RBI. Gregory Sagara made his pitching debut for the Mudcats and struck out two of the four batters he faced.</p>
<p><strong>La Estrellita Café River Bandits 6, G and L Plumbing Mudcats 4</strong><br />
On April 21, the Mudcats took an early 2-0 lead when Tristan Wiley came home on a wild pitch and drove in Joshua Guerrero with a ground out. The River Bandits came back with five runs in the third and fourth innings. The Mudcats&#8217; Liam Lonergan and Jacob Yalung scored the other runs for the Mudcats. For the River Bandits, Cameron Yuen had two RBIs and pitched a scoreless inning. Jason Ravetti pitched three effective innings and drove in a run.  Josh Cleto pitched the final inning for the River Bandits and had a double and a run scored in the game.</p>
<p><strong>Toyota of Oakland Express 11, Alameda Firefighters Association Hooks 3</strong><br />
Led by the outstanding pitching and hitting of Francisco Pedraza, the Express beat the Hooks, 11-3, on April 26. Pedraza pitched three scoreless innings while striking out nine batters, as well as hitting two triples. Other Express standouts were Sam Wettergren, who also pitched three strong innings while preventing the Hooks from mounting a comeback; and Austin Stenstedt, who hit two doubles and played a steady game at catcher. The Hooks&#8217; Nolan Floyd hit a single and stole home, while Christopher Regan walked, stole two bases, and scored on a single by Abdul Church.</p>

<p><strong>Rodgers Trucking Blue Claws 12, Claremont Behavioral Services Lugnuts 11</strong><br />
Eight consecutive hits scored five runs in the final frame as the Blue Claws rallied back from an 11-7 deficit to win an exciting contest. Ronald Robertson and Kanoa Cecaci-Gilliam scored multiple times, and Kobe Kiener and Wesley Grant (game-winning hit) received game balls for their efforts. For the Lugnuts, Kian Van Dermeer and Eugene Gardner scored twice each and Eric Slez had a three-hit game.</p>
<p><strong>Alameda Neuropsych Rattlers 7,  Pacific Fine Foods Owlz 6</strong><br />
Nathan Dudley and Eric Jarecki were the stars of the defense for the Rattlers while Liam Johnson-Sandoval and Ramit Guha combined for five extra base hits. For the Owlz, Randy Keep, Sean Gorham and Willie Dodge made solid defensive plays and their bats drove in the bulk of the Owlz&#8217;s runs.</p>

Henry Erwin raced out a dribbler for a single in the first. Michael Montes&#8217; solid stops made second base impenetrable in the first. A blast to shortstop got a single for Zach King in the second. Four stops in a row by Gryphon Norberg at pitcher amazed all in the fourth.</p>

Hosokawa went three for three with a single and two bunts. Joey Lopez drove in a run with a single. Brennan Kamphuis reached second base on a right field dropped fly ball that drove in a run. Tyler Middleton had a single. Ben Fetzer and Joseph Rockwell were on the mound for the Tigers. Fetzer pitched four innings, allowing seven hits, striking out five and walking one. Rockwell pitched the final inning, allowing two hits, striking out one and walking none. Angel Munoz reached base safely twice with a walk and hit by pitch. Abraham Saikley got aboard twice with walks.</p>

Dodgers Steve Manzo pitched a complete game against the Cardinals on April 22, allowing two runs, striking out eight, and walking two. Offensively, Manzo went three for three with three singles, driving in three runs. Brennan Kamphuis drove in a run with a single. David Montuffar and Avi Graber both had singles. Marcus Gilbert started the game for the Cardinals and struck out one, gave up three hits, walked three, and allowed five runs. Will Aveilar took over in the second inning, struck out four, walked one and gave up one run. Aveilar’s bat drove in two runs with a double. Bronson Lee had two singles and Aaron Keys had a single.</p>

On April 13,  the Rockhounds&#8217; Shane Rafferty pitched a three up, three strikeout third inning.  Jake DeMarco drove in teammate Nate Low in the sixth inning with a base hit. The Diamond Jaxx&#8217;s Ryan Sparks pitched two flawless innings, and David Tuutafaiva was the offensive star of the game, contributing three RBIs and three runs.</p>

On April 16, the Thunder&#8217;s Ryan Crawford drove in a pair of runs, and scored two more. Ricardo Tremper was lights-out pitching in the third and fourth, allowing no earned runs, while striking out four. The Diamond Jaxx&#8217;s Rene Lim knocked in two runs in the second inning.  Joe Gibbons earned player of the game, driving in the winning runs in the fifth inning to end the game.</p>

Kobe Kiener and Ronald Robertson both hit home runs for the host Blue Claws, in this rematch between two of the division&#8217;s better teams.  Andrew Tandoc and Kanoa Cecaci-Gilliam both received game balls for their defensive efforts in the contest. For the Scrappers, who rallied to beat the Blue Claws, 4-3, in the previous game, Nicholas Demmler and Marcus Magallanez had multi-hit games.</p>
<p><strong>Rodgers Trucking Blue Claws 17, Wiley Price &amp; Radulovich, LLP Raptors 10<br />
</strong>Nirina Parrish, Daniel Wolfe, and Wesley Grant scored multiple runs for the Blue Claws in this high-scoring tilt.  Brent Leong and Mitchell Tansey received game balls for their efforts against the previously unbeaten Raptors. Mateo Espinosa scored two runs for the Raptors.</p>

<p><strong>Tech Electric White Sox at 20/20 and Team Parent Sponsored Tigers<br />
</strong>On April 25, the White Sox&#8217;s hitting was led by Matthew Becker&#8217;s walk-off home run, and a pair of RBIs from Reeth Guha.  Fielding standouts were Max Palmer, with two outs at third base, and great catching by Elijah Thompson.  For the Tigers, hitting highlights were two singles by Campbell Walter and two RBIs for Caimain MacKay.  Kyle Spaulding tagged three runners out at third, second, and first, all in the same inning, and Brandon Lee had outs at first and third.</p>
<p><strong>Gallagher and Lindsay Indians at Littler Mendlesen, P.C. Royals</strong><br />
April 21 was a beautiful day for baseball as the Littler Royals took on the Gallagher and Lindsay Indians.  Cole Emerson and Jonathan Schnoebeln led the Royals with two great hits each.  Gabe Rubio and Owen DeCourcy made several key plays while manning the Royals mound.  The Indians played as a real team.  Casey Studebaker opened the game with a base hit.  Ian Carl Quilatan and Jacob Price rotated at pitcher.  Both players’ awareness and hustle resulted in many outs at first base, played by Justin Wong and Nate Stackler.</p>
<p><strong>East Ocean Restaurant Blue Jays at 20/20 and Team Parent Sponsored Tigers<br />
</strong>In their April 18 match-up, the Blue Jays fielding highlights included outs at third by Kendall Gottlieb and Grace Wise, and a hustle for a grounder and an out at second by Sam Davis.  For the Tigers, Kyle Spaulding made a heads up fly catch as pitcher, and Jack Johnston made a forced out at home plate and got an RBI.  Nathan Connick and Henry Mills both showed batting skills with drives to center and fielding skills with outs at first base.</p>
<p><strong>Sushi House Rays at Allied Administrators Twins<br />
</strong>Luis Ramirez-Verduzco, Micah Stamps and William Norboe each had two hits for the Rays on April 18. Tommy Igo and Adrian English, made great plays at first and second base respectively.</p>

Daniel Ratto pitched three and a third innings for the Cardinals on Saturday, March 27 and recorded seven strikeouts.  Contributing to solid offensive play were Aaron Hoff, who went two for two with four RBIs; and Bronson Lee, who went four for four with two RBIs. Tigers&#8217; pitcher Angel Munoz pitched four innings with four strikeouts, and Abraham Saikley closed the game with a strike out.  Jesse Cruz of the Tigers spoiled the shutout in the sixth, launching an out-of-the-park home run.</p>
<p><strong>Adelante Capital Management Dodgers 9, Alameda Theater Giants 8</strong><br />
On March 30, the Dodgers held on to a close win with Steve Manzo and Ryan Hosokawa on the mound. Offensively, Matt Esparza went two for four, including a triple that drove in two runs. Tony Torres reached base in all four at-bats with two singles and an RBI. Avi Graber had two singles with an RBI and Manzo had a run-scoring double. Hosokawa, Tyler Middleton and Roger Chan each had singles, and Dane Landau reached on an error that scored a run. The Giants fought hard, with solid pitching from Kenyon Ebert, Anthony Riley and Jack Delmore. Colin Karch reached base four times, driving in four runs, including a single and a bases-clearing double in the sixth. Jason Johnson went three for three with three singles, and Anthony Riley and Kenyon Ebert both reached on-base hits.</p>
<p><strong>Vanguard Construction Twins 8, Adelante Capital Management Dodgers 2</strong><br />
On April 15, Twins pitcher Matt Achramowicz went five and one-third innings, holding the Dodgers to two runs, striking out eight and walking one. Alex Achramowicz closed the sixth inning forcing the Dodgers to hit into a double play to end the game. Offensively, Alex Achramowicz went three for three with two singles and a triple, and he batted in a run. Matt Achramowicz had a single, double and triple with three RBIs. Mitchell Nakahara had two singles and Carson Bridges and Brad Anderson both had singles. For the Dodgers, Tony Torres was the starting pitcher, struck out two, walked one and gave up six runs. Avi Graber took the ball in the second inning and pitched the remaining five innings, giving up two runs, striking out seven and walking none. Ryan Hosokawa, Steve Manzo, Graber and Torres each hit singles.</p>
<p><strong>Synergy Corp. Housing Tigers 6, Pontar Real Estate Management Corp. Red Sox 5</strong><br />
Ben Fetzer’s hit in the bottom of the sixth inning scored the winning run in the Tigers victory over the Red Sox on April 15. Joseph Rockwell had three hits, and Jesse Cruz hit a two-run homer. Angel Munoz pitched a complete game and Abraham Saikley completed a double play by throwing out a runner at the plate.</p>
<p><strong>Northridge &amp; McGuiness Cubs 5, Adelante Capital Management Dodgers 0</strong><br />
Robby Jackson pitched a complete shut-out game for the Cubs on April 17, allowing only one hit, striking out 15 and walking none. Jackson went three for four with his bat, hitting a single, a double and a three-run home run. Kyle Averitt drive in two runs with a double. Mica Sanchez and Kyle Gilbert both had singles. Steve Manzo was the starting pitcher for the Dodgers, struck out two, gave up three hits and allowed five runs. Matt Esparza completed the game, striking out 12, walking four and allowing no runs. Tony Torres hit a double in the second inning.</p>

<p><strong>G and L Plumbing Mudcats 8, Toyota of Oakland Express 4</strong><br />
On March 29, the Express jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on RBI singles by Ryan Slez and Clayton Restagno. The Express&#8217; Gavin Hill started the game and threw three shutout innings with five strikeouts. Liam Lonergan walked and got the Mudcats on the board, scoring on a single to make it 2-1. Consecutive walks to Tyler Fong, Valentino Leite, Joshua Guerrero and Jacob Yalung put the Mudcats ahead, 3-2, in the fifth. The Express tied the game on an RBI from Brandon Smith in the bottom of the inning. In the top of the sixth, an intentional walk loaded the bases with no outs for the Mudcats&#8217; Cody Lim, who lined an 0-2 pitch into right field for a double scoring two to break the tie. The Express&#8217;s Francisco Pedraza launched a mammoth home run over the center field wall for the final tally of the game. For the Mudcats, Valentino Leite and Josuha Guerrero each had a pair of walks and Guerrero also added a pair of RBIs.</p>
<p><strong>Alameda Firefighters Association Hooks 7, DOER Marine Red Wings 1</strong><br />
Led by Jason Gee, who hit an RBI double, stole four bases and pitched one inning with two strikeouts, the Hooks beat the Red Wings 7-1 at Leydecker Field on April 16. Other standouts for the Hooks were Will Osborn, who stole home, and Christian Gross, who hit a double and pitched a scoreless inning. Outfielder Steven Sum made an outstanding catch, and Yishan McNabb pitched two scoreless innings for the Red Wings.</p>
<p><strong>Alameda Chiropractic Center Bulls 10, G and L Plumbing Mudcats 8</strong><br />
On April 14, the Bulls overcame a 7-5 deficit with five runs in their last inning to beat the Mudcats, 10-8. The Bulls&#8217; Henry Canalin, who was two for three with three RBIs, and Larry Lancaster, who was two for three with a pair of runs scored, each had two RBIs in the big inning. The Bulls&#8217; James Republicano also contributed two hits and two RBIs. For the Mudcats, Tyler Fong was three for three with two doubles and two RBIs and Chris Weber was two for three with a triple, two runs scored and an RBI. Tenoa Swayne also contributed a pair of hits and an RBI. The Mudcats&#8217; Jacob Hugger contributed great defense at catcher, throwing out a runner at second base and one at home.</p>
<p><strong>G and L Plumbing Mudcats 7, La Estrellita Café and Bar River Bandits 6</strong><br />
On April 17, the River Bandits built an early 4-0 lead with RBIs from Jack Davis and Cameron Kees. Davis also made it 5-0 stealing home in the fourth. The Mudcats tied the game in the fourth with key hits from Liam Lonergan and Max Swinderman, who drove in two. Cameron Yuen put the River Bandits up, 6-5, with an RBI single in the sixth. In the bottom of the inning, Tristan Wiley tied the game with a ground ball to third that was thrown away at first base and at third base, allowing him to circle the bases. Zach Repsold won the game with a bases loaded walk on a 3-2 pitch.</p>

The Littler Royals took on the White Sox and both teams looked great! Lucas Holley led the way with two great hits. Jaeden Patterson-Golay came through with a smash through the infield. Joey Green came up with a picture perfect snag of a fly ball. The White Sox and Royals really showed great sportsmanship throughout the game.</p>

<p><strong>Bay Area Spine Care Office Mets vs. Cardinals</strong><br />
In a March 30 game, Nathan Yu turned in a nice play on a hot-shot back to the pitcher, Jenna Hart hit a line drive to second base, and Cooper Brotze held tight for a &#8220;quadruple play&#8221; at home. Pitcher Aaron Eugene demonstrated smooth fielding in the second inning, making three plays to first. Miles SooHoo led off with a solid single in the second inning, followed by a double to center by Henry Erwin.</p>

<p><strong>Victor P. Republicano Jr. Yankees 3, Adelante Capital Management Dodgers 1</strong><br />
On March 27, in a great pitching duel, the Yankees defeated the Dodgers in seven innings by the score of 3-1. The Yankees&#8217; Maddie Lewis and Vincent Republicano  allowed one run on four hits, while striking out 16 batters, and the Dodgers’ Matt Esparza and Ryan Hosokawa allowed three runs on six hits, striking out 15. The lone Dodger run came courtesy on a HBP of Tony Torres, who later came around to score when Brennen Kamphius reached on an error. Steve Manzo led the Dodger hitters with two of their four hits. The Yankees were led offensively by Dominic Taylor who tripled, and Michael Woodworth who singled twice and scored a run. The Yankees won the game in the seventh when Republicano and Kai Schniedergers singled to lead off the seventh. With one out, Wesley Cheung grounded to first, but Republicano narrowly beat the throw to the plate. The ball then got loose and Schniedergers alertly came in with the third run.</p>

<p><strong>Alameda Firefighters Association Hooks 9, US Window Renewal, Inc. River Cats 5</strong><br />
Kaelin Rooney and Bryan Woo each pitched two scoreless innings, Bryce Bromberger hit a triple and scored a run, and Jason Gee hit a two-run single, as the Hooks won an exciting game on March 27. For the River Cats, Conor Neal hit a three-run home run and Matthew Yep hit a triple to help them jump to an early lead.</p>
<p><strong>G and L Plumbing Mudcats 8, Johnson and Jolley, DDS Knights 6</strong><br />
Under the lights at Leydecker Field on March 26, the Mudcats jumped out to an early 8-1 lead, scoring three runs in the first inning, the big blow a triple by Chris Weber that brought in two. Weber also made two great plays at third base, the last one snaring a potential game-tying liner off the bat of Grant Bevan to end the game. The Mudcats’ Tristan Wiley keyed a five-run third inning with a double that scored two runs, and Max Swinderman started the game for the Mudcats and worked three innings, allowing only an unearned run. For the Knights, Davis Tansey was a one-man wrecking crew at the plate with a double, a triple and four RBIs, leading their comeback bid. Grant Bevan took the mound in the fourth, and held the Mudcats scoreless for the last three innings, striking out six. Joshua Soltz had two hits, and also made a rolling catch in left field in the third to help stop a Mudcats rally.</p>
<p><strong>G and L Plumbing Mudcats 4, US Window Renewal, Inc. River Cats 2</strong><br />
On March 22, the Mudcats squeaked out a 4-2 victory on the strong pitching of Max Swinderman and Tristan Wiley.  Each worked three innings, allowing one run, and Swinderman added six strike outs. The River Cats&#8217; pitching was also very impressive as Charles Konstantino pitched three innings of one-run ball. Defense was also big throughout the game as the River Cats’ third baseman, J. Carlos Valencia-Garza, turned a double play in the first inning with the bases loaded. The Mudcats’ Zachary Repsold also made a nice tag at third on a runner trying to steal in the fourth inning. Ian Joyce and Conor Neal each drove in a run for the River Cats. Trailing 2-1 in the fifth, the Mudcats loaded the bases and tied the game on a Gregory Sagara single, and took the lead for good when Tyler Fong singled home two more runs.</p>
<p><strong>Tomatina&#8217;s Ironpigs 12, G and L Plumbing Mudcats 7</strong><br />
On March 20, the Ironpigs jumped out to an early 9-0 lead as Adam Bail held the Mudcats scoreless for three innings, striking out eight. The Ironpigs offense was led by Connor Thomas who had three RBIs, and Skyler Stebbins, who had two RBIs and two runs scored. The Mudcats closed the game to 9-4 with a four-run rally in the fourth. Tristan Wiley got the Mudcats on the board with a triple in the left center gap. He scored when the ball was thrown away at home on the relay. Chris Weber and Cody Lim added singles in the rally. The Mudcats’ Gregory Sagara fueled the rest of the offense with two hits, two runs scored and an RBI. Joshua Guerrero also walked three times and scored a run for the Mudcats, who came up short as the Ironpigs’ Skyler Stebbins closed out the game.</p>

<p><strong>Shooting Stars Storm 11, Harvest Food Bank Diamond Jaxx 6</strong><br />
On Saturday, March 27, Dean Sarmiento jacked a three-run triple in the second inning to lead the Storm. Max Turner finished the inning with three strikeouts, and later was flawless catching, handling every pitch thrown his way. On the mound for the Diamond Jaxx, Blaine Beckwith shut down the Storm with two strikeouts and made a sprawling catch on a pop-up.  On offense, A.J. Jawad had a hit and two stolen bases for the Jaxx.</p>

The Scrappers shocked the Ironbirds on March 26, scoring 13 times in the bottom of the sixth inning to pull off a stunning win. For the Scrappers, Nicholas Demmler and Marcus Magallanez scored four runs each, and Joshua Colin played a solid first base. For the Ironbirds, Zachary Hester and Max Davis had three hits each, and Dallas Rider turned in great plays at second base.</p>
<p><strong>Web Assign Sand Gnats 19, Rodgers Trucking Blue Claws 10</strong><br />
Mike Marensky, Keelan Good, Houston Mallette, and Torin Martin all had multi-hit games to fuel a sweep in the season series. Ronald Robertson hit two home runs for the host Blue Claws.</p>

On March 28, Tiger Alex Waldman made outs at first and third, and Cosmos Restagno made two heads-up plays with a tag at home and a throw-in from the outfield. Hitting was led by Dylan Manabat, with two RBIs, and Kyle Spaulding and Ben Ratto with drives to center field.  For the A’s, Luke Wonzen hustled for three outs, Toby Knox Lyttle knocked two solid hits to center despite a knee injury, and Cian Putterman and Andrew Moore each had two hits.</p>

<p><strong>G and L Plumbing Mudcats 5, David W. Johnson, DDS Knights 1</strong><br />
In the March 13 opener for the AAA division the Mudcats, with strong pitching from Max Swinderman, Chris Weber and Tristan Wiley, held the Knights to just one run and no walks.  Wiley, who finished the game, hurled three scoreless innings.  The Mudcats scored all five of their runs in the fourth inning, the big blow a Chris Weber bases loaded single that scored two.  Grant Bevan pitched two scoreless innings for the Knights and Ryan Kennedy also pitched effectively and scored the only run for the Knights.  The Knights&#8217; Douglas Fiedler pitched the final inning and recorded three strike outs.</p>
<p><strong>G and L Plumbing Mudcats 15, Tomatina Ironpigs 7</strong><br />
On March 17, the Mudcats rolled to a 15-2 lead and hung on for the victory.  The Mudcats offense was fueled by Gregory Sagara, who had four RBIs, and Zachary Repsold, who scored three runs and also had an RBI and a stolen base.  On the defensive side the Mudcats&#8217; Tyler Fong made a running catch in left field to end the second inning that kept the Ironpigs off the board. For the Ironpigs, Skyler Stebbins had three hits and two RBIs and Todd Vaca and Mason Layag each scored a pair of runs.  The Ironpigs&#8217; Joey Digiulio also had two hits and a stolen base, but was thrown out in the final inning trying to steal second base by the Mudcats&#8217; Jacob Hugger which helped seal the victory.</p>

<p><strong>Super Speech &amp; Language Connection/Clinton Chiropractor Lookouts 13, Fruitti Yogi Rockhounds 5</strong><br />
Nico Abe, Ian Dougherty and Neil Donavan all had hits and and drove in runs while Jackson Neugebauer-Drum struck out the side in the fifth and sixth innings for the Lookouts.  Alex Orla-Bukowski pitched two strong innings and Ben Stackler singled and stole two bases for the Rockhounds.</p>
<p><strong>Hot Rods 14, Harvest Food Products Co., Inc Diamond Jaxx 9</strong><br />
On March 20, the Hot Rods burned out of the gate, scoring five runs in the first inning.  AJ Ramsey had two RBIs and scored a run, and struck out the side for the Hot Rods in the fourth inning. For the Diamond Jaxx, Joe Gibbons drove in three runs with a bases-loaded double, and Richie Be and David Tuutafaiva turned in defensive gems.</p>
<p><strong>Web Assign Sand Gnats 16, YSF Printing Scrappers 8</strong><br />
Ryan Wong, A.J. King and Dave Stewart led the Gnats with three hits each on March 19.  Nicholas Ferry, Steven Good, and Jack Hernandez provided solid fielding.  For the Scrappers, Nicky Demmler and Connor Sparks had three hits each while Adi Glavovic sparked a futile Scrappers rally in the bottom of the sixth.  Jackson Ade, Marcus Margallanes and Ezra Hammond led the Scrappers’ effort in the field.</p>

<p><strong>Team Parent Sponsored Tigers vs. Yankees</strong><br />
Cosmos Restagno smacked a double and Cooper Boyle got two RBIs off a drive to left field for the Tigers on March 21.  Sam Bilstein and Caiman MacKay hustled for outs at first base, and Nathan Connick showed quick fielding skills to keep runners at first base.   The Yankees showed hustle and heart, and made a great showing for their fans.</p>
<p><strong>The East Ocean Chinese Restaurant Blue Jays vs. Royals</strong><br />
On March 21, the Blue Jays&#8217; first game featured solid hitting and fielding from the veteran team. Their hitting power came from game MVP Leo Miranda as well as Jayden Camaera with key doubles.  In the field, Grace Wise, Sam Morris and Harry Gleicher put in solid infield performances. The Royals, led by Will Ahern, combined good fielding and base running for the opening day game.</p>
