      The Second Annual Alameda Sports Exhibit opens on Saturday, August 14 at the Alameda Museum. This exhibit, co-sponsored by the Alameda Museum, celebrates the City of Alameda's rich sports history. Organized by the Alameda Sports Project, the exhibit will run through September 30. Exhibit location and hours: Alameda Museum, 2324 Alameda Avenue. Hours: Wednesday through Friday and Sunday, 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is FREE.

      Children are invited to listen, speak, and sing Japanese every Thursday in the Children’s Programming Room of the Main Library, 1550 Oak Street. Children of all ages, along with their parents and caregivers, are welcome.
