Another Valentine’s Day is upon us, and there are plenty of ways to celebrate right here in Alameda. From romantic dinners to champagne toasts to spa relaxation and unique gifts, the Island’s got all sorts of things to make your special someone’s heart go pitter-patter.

If you’re looking to book dinner, the folks over at  C’era Una Volta (1332 Park Street; 769-4828) are offering special menus with prix fixe and a la carte options Saturday, Sunday and Monday. They’ll also have live music, including a Portugese fado performance on Sunday from singer Ramana Vieira. Reservations are recommended. Also, chef John Thiel will be whipping up a special three-course Valentine’s Day meal over at Pappo (2320 Central Avenue; 337-9100); the cost is $45 per person, and an additional $26 per person with wine pairings. Reservations are requested. Speisekammer (2424 Lincoln Avenue; 522-1300) is serving dinner on Valentine’s Day with a side of gypsy jazz from Le Jazz Hot; dinner will be served from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. And BarCeluna (2319 Santa Clara Avenue; 521-5862) is promising a special menu for Valentine’s Day; seating begins at 5 p.m.

If it’s a simple champagne toast you’re after, Alameda Wine Company (2315 Central Avenue; 523-9463) is offering a trio of bubbly flights, with a cheese and charcuterie plate to match. They’ll also have a supply of locally made truffles from NK Chocolates (which I can personally say are delicious). Call ahead for prices.

If you want a little luxury, Sumbody (1350 Park Street; 523-2639) is offering Valentine’s Day specials that include a free “Signature Foot Soak” when you book a massage or facial and discounts on two of the shop’s facial treatments. The specials are good for the month of February, so if you miss out on the big day, you can stop by later.

If it’s a unique, handmade gift you’re after, Modern Mouse (Alameda Towne Centre; 814-8830) has got a good supply of gifts and Valentine-themed accessories like Pop-up Placemats ($25 for 10). For a twist on the traditional box of chocolates, head on over to Fruits & Chocolate (Alameda Towne Centre; 521-8868), where they’ll make customized chocolate heart candies or put together an assortment of chocolate-covered fruits in a traditional heart-shaped box.

And the folks over at Color Me Mine (Alameda Towne Centre; 521-8893) are offering Valentine’s Day fun with two-for-one studio fees and chocolates to boot.

If you’re looking to celebrate early, Rhythmix Cultural Works (2513 Blanding Avenue; 865-5060) has got a special Valentine’s Day show, “Of Love and Accordions,” featuring Tara Linda & the Gila Monsters and Jetty Swart. Tickets for the show, which is at 8 p.m. Saturday, February 12, are $15 in advance and $18 on the day of the show, and are available online or at the door.

Viva l’amour!
