INDECENT EXPOSURE: Police said an individual on Park Street masturbated while looking at a second individual.

Stolen vehicle: Blue 1998 Nissan Maxima, between 3:45 p.m. January 16 and 7:30 p.m. today, from the 1300 block of Regent Street.

Stolen bicycle: Black Giant, between 1:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m., from the 1900 block of Park Street.

Tuesday, January 18

BATTERY: A verbal altercation in a family setting turned physical when a juvenile grabbed an adult by the neck and threw her to the ground, authorities said. Police arrested the juvenile for battery.

BURGLARY: An unknown suspect stole the television from the community room at the Anne B. Diament Plaza complex on the 900 block of Park Street, police said.

FELONY HIT AND RUN: Police are investigating a possible felony hit and run at the intersection of Sherman Street and Pacific Avenue. According to authorities, a bicyclist was found in the intersection with contusions and a possible concussion but no memory of any collision. Because there were no witnesses to the accident, police have not determined whether a car was involved.

Wednesday, January 19

AUTO THEFT ARRESTS: Police arrested Joseph Errol Hurst, 34, of San Leandro and David Lee Bonino II, 26, of Alameda on charges of auto theft after they were found to have been driving a stolen vehicle. The vehicle had been stolen from the Fruitvale BART station, authorities said. Hurst faces an additional charge of violating parole, while Bonino faces a charge of violating probation.

Stolen vehicle: Blue 2000 Honda Civic, between 1 a.m. and 7:15 a.m., from the 1100 block of Buena Vista Avenue.

Stolen bicycle: Brown Trek 7.2 FX, between 3 p.m. January 18 and 11 a.m. today, from a side yard on the 1000 block of Taylor Avenue.

Thursday, January 20

ASSAULT WITH WEAPON: Police said a senior citizen struck his spouse in the head with a hammer. The man faces charges of domestic abuse and assault with a deadly weapon.

ASSAULT AND BATTERY: Police arrested Lisa Marie Brown, 27, of Alameda on charges of battery with serious injury and assault with a deadly weapon after Brown allegedly battered a former roommate and attempted to attack her with a baseball bat and a knife. According to authorities, the victim, who is pregnant, suffered fractured vertebrae.

SEXUAL BATTERY: A suspect described as an Asian male in his 30s grabbed an individual’s breasts and then fled, police said. The incident, which occurred on the 1500 block of Bay Street, was a pedestrian situation and the victim did not know the perpetrator.

ROBBERY: Police said two juveniles shoved a woman to the ground on the 500 block of Taylor Avenue, forcibly stripped the victim’s tote bag from her grip, and fled the scene.

Friday, January 21

BOAT BURGLARY: Police said a video player and numerous movies were stolen from a ship that was docked for service on the 2900 block of Main Street.

CHILD ABUSE: An individual struck her juvenile daughter’s hands with a leather belt 10 to 15 times, leaving visible welts, police said. According to authorities, the victim has been taken into protective custody.

CAR CHASE AND ARREST: Police arrested Rex Williard Bozarth, 38, of Fort Jones on the 300 block of Kittyhawk Road following a pursuit. According to authorities, officers from the county were in pursuit of the suspect when Alameda police joined in. Bozarth faces charges of furnishing or selling marijuana, evading police, driving under the influence, riving on a suspended license, and obstructing or resisting police. Bozarth also had two outstanding warrants, police said.

Stolen bicycle: Green Schwinn, between 10:10 a.m. and 10:20 a.m., from the bike rack in front of the main library at 1550 Oak Street. The bike was not locked to the rack, police said.

Saturday, January 22

MARIJUANA FOR SALE ARREST: Police arrested Alameda resident Steven Thomas Lowery, 25, on charges of possessing marijuana and hashish. Lowery was allegedly selling both substances, authorities said. He faces an additional charge of possessing burglary tools after being found to have a shaved key on his person.

BURGLARY: A person or persons entered a residence on the 1100 block of Otis Drive through an unlocked sliding glass door, police said. The suspect or suspects removed items from the kitchen counter and then fled.

SENIOR CITIZEN ABUSE: Police said they are investigating an individual for senior citizen abuse. The suspect is the child of a 74-year-old Alameda woman who is missing $600 from her bank account and has had her driver’s license, debit card, and cell phone taken without permission by her adult child.

Stolen vehicle: Tan 1994 Honda Accord, between 5:30 p.m. January 21 and 3 p.m. today, from the 2100 block of San Antonio Avenue.

Sunday, January 23

DUI ARRESTS: Police said they arrested three drunk drivers on the 1500 block of Park Street, the 1400 block of Oak Street, and the 2000 block Buena Vista Avenue. In the Buena Vista incident, the driver was involved in a single-vehicle accident, police said.
