Measure A vote by mail ballots available
Vote by mail ballots for the Measure A school parcel tax measure are now available, the Alameda County Registrar of Voters announced Monday. The ballots for the March 8 election are available now through March 1, and voters can begin casting their ballots on February 7.
Interested voters may obtain a mail ballot either by completing and turning in the form on the back of their sample ballot or by completing an online application at http://www.acgov.org/rov/votebymail.htm. Sample ballots are due to be mailed beginning Thursday. Requests may also be faxed to the Registrar’s office at (510) 272-6982 or mailed to Alameda County Registrar of Voters, 1225 Fallon Street, Room G-1, Oakland, Calif. 94612.
Requests for mail ballots will not be accepted over the phone. All written requests must be received by 5 p.m. March 1. Ballots must be returned to the Registrar of Voters or any polling place in Alameda by the time the polls close on March 8, and postmarks will not be accepted.
