ARSON: An unknown suspect or suspects set fire to an exterior garbage can on the 1800 block of Sandcreek Way, causing it to melt and burn on the yard at Lum Elementary School, police said.
BURGLARY: An unknown suspect or suspects entered a residence on the 1700 block of Palmera Court through an unlocked an open front door, stealing items from a purse before fleeing, police said.

RESTRAINING ORDER ARREST: Police arrested an individual for being within 100 yards of a second individual in violation of a restraining order, authorities said.
VANDALISM: An unknown suspect or suspects damaged Christmas decorations on the front lawn of a residence on the 2300 block of Clinton Avenue, police said.
GRAND THEFT: An unknown suspect or suspects removed the top of a coin-operated dryer in the common laundry room of an apartment building on the 2200 block of Encinal Avenue, police said. According to authorities, the perpetrator cut the internal wires and took the top of the dryer, including the coin box.
TRESPASSING ARREST: Police arrested Edward George Hanse, 55, of Alameda on a charge of trespassing on a property which has been condemned due to living conditions. Hanse, whose last known address was the same as the Pacific Avenue address where he was arrested on the trespassing charge, also had two outstanding warrants for misdemeanor failures to appear in court. A Tracy resident was also cited for trespassing on the property, police said.
WEAPON ON SCHOOL PROPERTY ARREST: Police arrested a juvenile for bringing a BB gun to Island High School.
VANDALISM: An unknown suspect or suspects entered the gym of the Summer House apartment complex on Alameda and cut the running belts on two treadmills, police said.
PETTY THEFT: Authorities said an unknown person or persons used a sharp cutting instrument to sever the zip ties holding Christmas lights onto the front of Seiji Morikawa Certified Groomer on the 600 block of Central Avenue. The person or persons then fled with the loss, police said.
Stolen bicycles: Police are searching for a bicycle stolen from a custom wall bracket on a storage locker on the 1800 block of Shoreline Drive.
Wednesday, December 15
PETTY THEFT: A suspect took money from a purse at Earhart Elementary School on Packet Landing Road while the purse was in a storage cabinet, police said. According to authorities, the victim is an employee of the school.
ROBBERY: Police are searching for four suspects who allegedly followed a person walking down a sidewalk, then threw the person in the bushes, covered the victim’s face with a hat, kicked the victim in the face, took the victim’s wallet, and fled. The incident happened on the 1600 block of Alameda Avenue, authorities said.
BURGLARY: A suspect entered an apartment complex on the 1100 block of Park Avenue, pried open the victim’s assigned locker, and stole a coffee table, police said.
Stolen vehicles: Police are investigating the theft of an automobile from the 2200 block of Santa Clara Avenue. A second vehicle was stolen from the 1100 block of Buena Vista Avenue, authorities said.

THREATS AND INTIMIDATION: Police are investigating a suspect for allegedly threatening to cut another individual’s head off and brandishing a machete during an altercation, authorities said.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: An unknown suspect or suspects entered a storage shed belonging to Alameda Bicycle on the 1500 block of Park Street and stole four bicycles, police said.
POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY ARREST: Police arrested David Frederick Anderson, 36, of Alameda on one charge of possessing stolen property after a probation search of Anderson turned up stolen items, authorities said.
BURGLARY: An unknown suspect or suspects entered a residence on the 300 block of Cypress Street through an unlocked front door, walked past two dogs in the residence, and then took items from the residence, police said.
BURGLARY: A person or persons smashed the sliding glass door to a residence on the zero block of Maitland Drive, selecting several items before fleeing, authorities said.
ROBBERY: Police are investigating an apparent robbery in which the victim was robbed at gunpoint on the 2600 block of Orion Street. The suspect then hit the victim in the face with the butt of a rifle, police said.
ASSAULT WITH DEADLY WEAPON ARRESTS: Police arrested Oakland residents Loc Van Huynh, 18, and David Ky Wu, 18, on charges of assault with a deadly weapon following a December 13 attack on Thompson Field. According to authorities, in that incident the suspects approached individuals in the park and demanded they hand over property. The suspects then attacked the victims with unknown objects and fled without taking the victims’ property. Wu faces one charge of assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm, while Huynh faces two counts of assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm.
Stolen bicycles: Police are searching for a bicycle stolen from a balcony on the 300 block of Westline Drive.
Friday, December 17
GRAND THEFT: An unknown suspect broke into a storage container on the 600 block of Willow Street and stole a bicycle, police said.
BRANDISHING: Police said an unknown suspect followed a victim in his car for an unknown reason, then stopped in front of the victim’s car, got out, and pointed a handgun at the victim through an open driver’s side window. The victim was able to flee before the intention of the suspect was revealed, police said. The incident occurred in the 1200 block of Eighth Street.
BURGLARY: An unknown suspect or suspects cut the lock off a storage unit at Public Storage at 1829 Webster Street, stealing numerous items from inside before replacing the lock with a new one, police said.
ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON: A suspect struck another individual twice across the face during a physical altercation, police said.
NARCOTICS AND COUNTERFEIT BILL ARREST: Police arrested Lester Williams Jr, 47, of Richmond after a vehicle stop for a mechanical violation revealed that Williams was allegedly under the possession of a controlled substance while driving, in possession of a suspected narcotic, and in possession of a counterfeit bill. Williams faces additional charges of driving on a suspended license and possessing a weapon, police said.
Stolen vehicles: Police are searching for a motorcycle stolen from the 2400 block of Central Avenue.
Stolen bicycles: Police are investigating the theft of a bicycle from the 2200 block of Central Avenue.
Saturday, December 18
FORGERY: A suspect paid for goods at Beverly’s Fabric and Crafts at Alameda Towne Centre with a fictitious check using another individual’s checking-account number, police said.
BATTERY: Police said that during a road rage incident at Fir Avenue and Gardenia Terrace, an individual threw unknown objects at another person’s car, leaving a dent on the driver’s door. The suspect then hit the victim on the side of his face with his hand, authorities said.
GRAND THEFT: An unknown suspect took a wallet from the counter of Jack in the Box on Webster Street and fled, police said.
Stolen vehicles: Police are investigating the thefts of vehicles from the 2100 block of South Shore Center, the 1800 block of Poggi Street, and from a public parking lot on the 1100 block of Pacific Marina.
Sunday, December 19
MISDEMEANOR HIT AND RUN: An unknown driver damaged a fire hydrant on the 300 block of Lina Avenue and fled the scene, police said.
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: An unknown suspect or suspects broke into a golf-cart storage garage at the Chuck Corica Golf Complex by cutting a cyclone fence, authorities said. According to police, the suspect or suspects then drove around the course with carts.
BURGLARY: Two unknown suspects entered a residence on the 900 block of Taylor Avenue through an unlocked door, took property, and fled, police said.
FELONY HIT AND RUN: An unknown driver struck and individual while backing out of a parking space at Alameda Towne Centre, fleeing after the collision, police said.
BATTERY: An individual hit another person in the face during an altercation, police said.
NARCOTICS AND VANDALISM ARREST: Police arrested Ramon Calderon, 28, of Ceres on the 1900 block of Main Street after Calderon allegedly hit a second person and damaged a fence. Calderon faces additional charges of public intoxication and possessing a controlled substance suspected to be cocaine, police said.
Stolen vehicles: Police are investigating the theft of a vehicle from the 600 block of Central Avenue.
