Alameda’s economic development director headed to Morgan Hill
A native of the Midwest, Little has worked in the public sector for nearly three decades, handling redevelopment and economic development duties for public agencies in California and Florida. She came to Alameda in April 2004 as development services director after serving as the San Jose Redevelopment Agency’s director of downtown development and as a senior director of economic development in Orlando, Florida.
As development services director and in her current job, Little oversaw projects that included the Bayport housing development, construction of the Alameda Theatre & Cineplex and parking garage, redevelopment of the Bridgeside Shopping Center. The addition or expansion of businesses to Alameda Towne Centre and the Harbor Bay Business Park also occurred on Little’s watch.
In her new post as Morgan Hill’s assistant city manager for community development, Little will oversee planning and building, economic development, redevelopment, housing and neighborhoods, engineering and utilities.
