POSSESSION OF STUN GUN AND TEAR GAS CANISTERS ARREST: Police arrested Chauncey Man, 21, of San Leandro on a charge of possessing tear gas canisters and a charge of possessing a stun gun after finding one tear gas canister with the serial number removed and seven stun guns in Man’s car during a traffic stop. He faces an additional charge of violating parole on a prior felony conviction, police said.
SEXUAL ASSAULT: Police are investigating a possible sexual assault, authorities said.
BAD CHECKS: Police said an unknown suspect used a counterfeit $100 bill to pay a bill at a medical office on the 2200 block of Santa Clara Avenue.
POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY ARREST: Police investigating a burglary on the 1800 block of Second Street pulled over a vehicle matching the description of an automobile spotted fleeing the crime scene and found two televisions belonging to the victim, authorities said. Police arrested Roy Kali Kellum, 18, of Alameda and Raul Hernando Rodas, 19, of Alameda for possession of stolen property. Kellum faces an additional charge of possessing less than one ounce of marijuana, while Rodas faces a second charge of possessing a controlled substance. Further charges may be filed in the case, police said.
BURGLARY: An unknown suspect or suspects forced open a sliding window of an apartment on the 1800 block of Poggi Street, entering the apartment and taking a video game console and games before fleeing, police said.
BURGLARY: Police are searching for the unknown person or persons who entered a residence on the 1700 block of Walnut Street through a large pet door, took items and fled the scene, authorities said.
SEXUAL ASSAULT: Police said they are investigating an individual suspected of rape.
Tuesday, November 16
SEXUAL ASSAULT: Authorities are investigating a suspect in a separate rape case, police said. The man allegedly claimed to be a police officer but was not believed by the victim, who police said the suspect then forced to perform sexual acts and penetrated against her will.
BURGLARY: An unknown suspect or suspects entered a residence on the 1300 block of Willow Street through a pet door but fled when an alarm activated, police said.
BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary incident in which an unknown person or persons entered a residence on the 1100 block of Bismarck Lane through an unlocked window and stole property, authorities said.
WEAPON ON SCHOOL PROPERTY: Police arrested a juvenile for trespassing at Encinal High School and found a knife in his possession during a search, authorities said.
MARIJUANA SENT THROUGH MAIL: A woman alerted police to a package she received through the United States Postal Service that contained marijuana, police said. According to authorities, the woman’s business was listed as the return address but she said had not sent the items herself.
Stolen vehicles: Dark blue Suzuki motorcycle, between 11 p.m. November 15 and 9 a.m. today, from the 400 block of Buena Vista Avenue.
Stolen bicycles: Girls black 21-speed and boys white 10-speed, between 5 p.m. November 15 and 7:30 a.m. today, from the 1600 block of Broadway.
Wednesday, November 17
BATTERY AND RESISTING POLICE: A fight between two large groups of juveniles led to a battery incident in which one juvenile was beaten by 15 members of the other group, police said. The juvenile had no visible injury but was taken to the hospital at his own request, where he was examined and released to a guardian. Two individuals involved in the incident were arrested for fleeing the area and resisting police.
OUTSIDE WARRANT FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT: Police took Robert Antoine Mitchell, 31, of Alameda into custody on an outstanding felony warrant for sexual assault originating in Maricopa County, authorities said.
BURGLARY: Police said an unknown suspect or suspects accessed a residence on the 2900 block of San Jose Avenue through an unlocked rear door and stole numerous items.
Stolen bicycles: Blue Cannondale M500, between 11:30 p.m. November 16 and 9:30 a.m. today, from the 2000 block of Shoreline Drive.
Thursday, November 18
BATTERY: A suspect punched a victim from behind and knocked him to the ground at Encinal High School, police said.
GRAND THEFT: Police are also searching for a suspect or suspects responsible for taking money from a teacher’s desk at Encinal High School.
BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary incident in which the perpetrator entered a residence through a pet door. According to authorities, the residence on the 1300 block of Willow Street is missing a television following the alleged burglary.
BURGLARY: An unknown person or persons entered an apartment on the 500 block of Buena Vista Avenue and stole a safe containing two handguns, police said.
AUTO THEFT AND BURGLARY TOOLS ARREST: Police arrested Ronald Anthony Forbes, 48, of Alameda on charges of auto theft, possession of burglary tools, and violating parole after a vehicle stolen out of Oakland discovered blocking a private driveway in Alameda was linked to him, authorities said.
Stolen bicycles: Blue Gary Fisher mountain bike, between 8 p.m. and midnight November 17, from a balcony on the 300 block of Westline Drive.
Friday, November 19
ATTEMPTED MAIL THEFTS: Authorities said an unknown suspect or suspects pried open the mailboxes to two apartment complexes on the 1000 block of Park Avenue and the 2000 block of Central Avenue in what appeared to be attempts to steal mail.
CHILD CRUELTY ARRESTS: Police arrested Alameda residents Alluzes Barrena Satorre, 24, and Joan Casidsid Velasco, 23, on felony charges of cruelty to a child after the couple’s toddler and infant were found neglected an unattended, police said. Satorre faces additional charges of narcotics use, vandalism, and criminal after he allegedly threatened a neighbor who discovered the children and reported the neglect. According to authorities, Satorre subsequently punched out the neighbor’s window.
BURGLARY: Police said a piece of glass is missing from the door of a house on the 3200 block of Fernside Boulevard.
FELONY HIT AND RUN ARREST: Police arrested Martyn Kevinne Delacruz, 20, of Alameda on a charge of felony hit-and-run with injury after Delacruz struck a motorcyclist with his vehicle and then fled the scene. Authorities said Delacruz admitted to being the driver of the vehicle that hit the motorist. He faces an additional charge of driving without a license.
BATTERY: A victim was attacked in a school hallway at Encinal High School, police said.
BATTERY: Authorities said an individual punched another individual twice in the face in the vicinity of Clement Avenue and Park Street.
Stolen bicycles: Red and white Trek girls bicycle, between 8 a.m. November 1 and 8 a.m. today, from a backyard on the 1800 block of Cornell Drive.
Saturday, November 20
ROBBERY: A suspect stole a phone from another individual at 2400 Shoreline Drive and then ran away, police said. According to authorities, the suspect also pushed the victim when he tried to stop the perpetrator.
ASSAULT WITH WEAPON: Police are investigating an apparent assault with an unknown object. Authorities said the victim was hit on the head with the object on the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue after leaving a bar. The suspect also hit and punched the victim several times, causing a shoulder injury and multiple contusions, police said.
Stolen vehicles: White 1995 Acura Integra, between 9:45 p.m. November 19 and 10:30 a.m. today, from the 1500 block of Chestnut Street.
Stolen bicycles: Yellow Trek 4300, between 6 p.m. November 17 and 7 a.m. today, from a balcony on the 2100 block of Shoreline Drive.
Sunday, November 21
MARIJUANA AND NARCOTICS FOR SALE ARREST: Police arrested Keith Baligaya Fernandez, 27, of Alameda for possessing marijuana, transporting controlled substances for sale, and possessing narcotics after a vehicle search subsequent to a traffic stop yielded three bags of marijuana, four pills suspected to be MDMA, over $1,000 in cash, a scale, and plastic bags, authorities said.
GRAND THEFT: An unknown suspect took a camera, camera equipment and a laptop computer from a secured truck bed on the 1000 block of Independence Drive, police said.
BATTERY: Police said an unknown male suspect approached a female who was upset and crying while seated in her parked car. The suspect claimed to want to help the victim but then placed her hand on his crotch over his pants, police said.
