Alameda police are investigating a robbery that happened this morning at a Wells Fargo bank branch at Alameda Towne Centre.

No one was injured and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken in the robbery, Alameda Police Lt. Mark Landes said.

Landes said one of the two suspects, who are described as black males in their 20s, entered the bank at 10:14 a.m. Friday and handed the teller a demand note. “He said something to the effect of, ‘don’t make me shoot you,'” Landes said, though he said no weapon was displayed.

Landes said the suspect obtained cash and fled in a white, four-door Chevy Impala, which was driven by a second suspect, in an unknown direction.

Police are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call Sgt. Pat Wyeth in the department’s violent crimes unit, at (510) 337-8307.
