Let the commenting commence!
I have a confession to make: I missed you guys. So starting today, The Island will once again begin accepting comments to the site. As you’ll notice, we’ve made a few changes to the way comments will be handled.
The biggest one is that we’ll no longer be directly moderating the comments section on a minute-to-minute basis. But we’ve set things up to allow you to do that: Our new comment system allows users to give a thumb’s up or thumb’s down to the comments posted to the site, and you can also report inappropriate comments. Registration is required (and I’ll be checking to make sure people are using their full names).
We’ve also posted a greatly enhanced comment policy to give you a better idea of what’s okay to post and what isn’t. The policy is back in its old spot in the sidebar, with a link to a more explicit list of do’s and don’ts.
So let us know what you think, either by dropping a comment on the site or an e-mail to me at email@example.com.
