Black Friday deals? Discuss.
In the meantime, I wanted to pass along some information on Small Business Saturday (and hat tip to the folks at Farmstead Cheeses and Wines, whose wines are all 10 percent off on Friday, by the way). This Saturday, American Express is offering its cardholders $25 off purchases of $100 or more that they make in small, locally owned stores. To preregister your card for the promotion, click here.
One other deal: Color Me Mine at Alameda Towne Centre is offering free ceramic heart boxes to customers who come in to paint between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Friday.
Also, the folks at Kids Take the Stage are offering a special Black Friday sibling discount of 60 percent for the theater outfit’s summer drama camp. More information here.
And if you’re out scouting deals at Alameda Towne Centre on Friday, they’ve got a lineup of holiday activities beginning at 11 a.m., when Santa lands. The shopping center is offering face painting, carolers and kettle corn at noon while one Otis second grade class trims their holiday tree. The Alameda Civic Ballet will perform scenes from “The Nutcracker” at 4:30 p.m., and the Al Marshall Trio follows, performing during Towne Centre’s tree lighting ceremony at 6:30 p.m. (refreshments included).
