Monday, October 18

FRAUD: Police said an individual in Michigan called to report that fraudulent credit card purchases were being delivered to an address on the 1000 block of Gresham Drive.

BURGLARY: An unknown suspect or suspects smashed the glass of a rear sliding door to a residence on the 300 block of Maitland Drive, police said. According to authorities, the perpetrator or perpetrators then stole jewelry and a safe.

BURGLARY: Police are investigating an alleged burglary on the 900 block of Park Street in which an unknown suspect entered a basement, stole property, and then abandoned the stolen property next door.

Stolen vehicles: Police are searching for vehicles stolen from the 3000 block of Fernside Boulevard, the 2000 block of Southwood Drive, and the 2000 block of Otis Drive.

Stolen bicycles: Police are investigating the theft of bicycles from the 2200 block of South Shore Center and from the bike rack at the Alameda Free Library on Oak Street.

Tuesday, October 19

BATTERY: An individual punched another person in the mouth during a heated argument on the 2600 block of Orion Street, police said.

GRAND THEFT: An unknown suspect or suspects stole a compressor and copper tubing from the top of a commercial freezer at Waters Edge Nursing Home on the 2400 block of Blanding Avenue, police said.

BURGLARY TOOLS ARREST: Police arrested Ruben Michael Scallions, 35, of Alameda on a charge of possessing burglary tools after Scallions was stopped and searched on the 2400 block of Blanding Avenue for violating vehicular code with his bicycle.

SHOPLIFTING AND CRIMINAL THREAT: Police are investigating a case of shoplifting and criminal threats following an incident in which an unknown suspect threatened to kill a Nob Hill Foods employee if she touched him while attempting to stop him from removing merchandise from the store.

Stolen bicycles: Police are searching for bicycles stolen from the 400 block of Pacific Avenue and the 1100 block of Court Street. Two additional bikes went missing from the 2600 block of Evelyn Court, police said.

Wednesday, October 20

ASSAULT WITH WEAPON ARREST: Police arrested Reggienell Lockquel Fountain, 25, of Oakland on charges of making criminal threats and assault with a deadly weapon after Fountain allegedly tried to stab another individual with a knife. Fountain allegedly told the male victim that she would kill him and would send her family members after him, police said. According to authorities, Fountain also had an outstanding warrant.

BURGLARY: Police are investigating an alleged burglary on the 500 block of Buena Vista Avenue. An unknown suspect or suspects entered the residence by unknown means while the residents were sleeping and stole two laptops, police said.

MARIJUANA ARREST: Police arrested Semer Tesfandrias, 19, of Alameda for possession of marijuana prepared for sale.

BURGLARY: Police are investigating an alleged burglary from a residence on the 800 block of Grand Street. According to authorities, a handgun stolen from the residence was later found in the possession of an individual contacted by the Hayward Police Department.

BURGLARY: An estranged husband allegedly broke into his wife’s property on the 200 block of Corpus Christi Road, police said. According to authorities, the man entered the property by removing a window screen and sliding the screen open. He had no standing at the residence and fled through the front door when confronted by the victim inside, police said.

ROBBERY ARREST: Police arrested Alejandro Jose Disantis, 21, of Alameda on a charge of robbery. According to authorities, Disantis has been linked to the September 5 armed robbery of Alameda Cellars at 2425 Encinal Avenue.

Stolen vehicles: Police are investigating two auto thefts in which the stolen vehicles were recovered a short time after going missing. In one incident, a vehicle stolen from the 20 block of Oyster Shoals was later located by police in Pleasanton. In the second incident, a vehicle stolen from the 700 block of Buena Vista Avenue turned up one block away with items missing.

Thursday, October 21

BURGLARY: A suspect or suspects stole an unlocked bicycle from an unlocked storage shed on the 1100 block of Broadway, police said. According to authorities, the perpetrator may have returned a week later to steal a second bicycle but was unsuccessful.

FRAUD: Police are investigating an alleged case of fraud in which an Alameda resident was told that she had won prize money and a new car. The suspect, who contacted the victim by phone, allegedly told the victim that she would have to send in $700 to claim her prizes.

MAIL THEFT: Police are searching for the person or persons who stole a state disability check from an unsecured mailbox on the 1000 block of Lincoln Avenue. The perpetrator later cashed the check, police said.

MARIJUANA ARREST: Police arrested Michael Anthony Rodriguez, 26, on charges of marijuana possession and violating parole after he was found to be in possession of marijuana prepared for sale, $415 in U.S. currency and a digital scale, authorities said.

BAD CHECKS: A woman has knowingly written two bad checks to a business on the 900 block of Broadway, police said.

Stolen vehicles: Police are searching for a vehicle stolen from the 2400 block of Clement Avenue.

Stolen bicycles: Police are searching for bicycles stolen from the 200 block of Packet Landing Road and from the 300 block of Central Avenue.

Friday, October 22

BURGLARY: An unknown suspect or suspects entered a residence on the 1500 block of Lincoln Avenue through an unsecured door, removed a wallet and then fled with the loss, police said.

BURGLARY: Police are investigating an alleged burglary of an apartment on the 2100 block of Santa Clara Avenue.

BURGLARY ARRESTS: Police arrested Harlis Brown, 44, of Oakland, and William Joseph Davidson, 54, also of Oakland, on charges of burglary after a witness said they observed the two men stealing copper from a crawl space under an abandoned apartment building at the intersection of Stardust Place and Orion Street. Davidson faces an additional charge of possessing burglary tools and was also found to have three outstanding misdemeanor warrants, authorities said.

CASING: A business owner on the 2500 block of Clement Avenue contacted authorities to warn them that he believes his business is being cased, police said.

BATTERY ARREST: Police arrested Dominique Charmine Neal, 20, of Alameda on a charge of battery after Neal allegedly slapped another individual. Neal also faces a charge of drunk and disorderly conduct. According to authorities, the incident began when Neal’s neighbor allegedly directed offensive words at her and a second person.

BATTERY ARRESTS: Police arrested Mario Alberto Gonzalez, 21, of Alameda, and Alan Carl Schatmeier, 21, also of Alameda, on charges of battery. Gonzaleza and Schatmeier were allegedly involved in an argument in which Gonzalez punched a victim in the mouth, causing him to fall, and then Schatmeier kicked the victim. A second victim tried to intervene and also suffered a fall. Both victims received minor injuries, police said.

ABDUCTION AND ASSAULT WITH WEAPON: Police are investigating an incident on the 600 block of Santa Clara Avenue in which a suspect kidnapped a victim at gunpoint and then held her against his will at his home, authorities said.

Saturday, October 23

ROBBERY ARREST: Police arrested Brett Loren Greer, 23, of Vallejo on a charge of robbery stemming from the September 5 armed robbery of Alameda Cellars at 2425 Encinal Avenue. Greer also faces a charge of failing to appear for an earlier traffic violation.

FRAUD: Police are investigating an alleged case of fraud in which a suspect contacted an Alameda resident by telephone and told him that his grandson had been arrested. The suspect asked the man to send bail money, convincing the victim to send two payments totaling $12,230 to a second suspect via Western Union.

BATTERY: Police are investigating an alleged case of battery in which two suspects struck a victim in the face during a physical confrontation outside of the Lemon Tree Inn bar at 2542 Santa Clara Avenue.

Stolen vehicles: Police are searching for automobiles stolen from the 2700 block of Santa Clara Avenue, the 6800 block of Island Drive and the 2900 block of Windsor Drive.

WEAPON ON SCHOOL PROPERTY ARREST: Police arrested Andrew James Oducayen, 18, of Hayward for bringing a weapon onto school property. According to authorities, a witness reported seeing Oducayen with a firearm in his backpack at Alameda High School in the days prior to his arrest. The weapon was determined to be an Airsoft gun, police said.
