“Parks for the People” forum is Saturday
The Alameda Public Affairs Forum is holding a discussion titled “Parks for the People” from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. this Saturday, September 11 at the Alameda Free Library, 1550 Oak Street. Featured speakers are Jean Sweeney, who will talk about a Belt Line Park; Dorothy Freeman, who will discuss an Estuary Park; Richard Bangert, who will talk about the Northwest Territories of Alameda Point; and Herb Behrstock, who will talk about United Nations Founding Park.
Light refreshments will be offered from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.; bring finger foods, juice and desserts to share. The meeting is free and open to the public, though donations are requested.
