Inaugural Alameda Wine Walk is tonight
Need a night out? Take advantage of our late-breaking summer weather tonight and check out the first of two Alameda Wine Walks.
Participants in tonight’s event, which takes place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. can enjoy regional wines and sparking wines, chocolate and desserts, which will be available from a host of wineries and others at a dozen locations on Webster Street. Winery representatives will talk about the winemaking process and discuss wine and food pairings. And if you’re looking for a dinner out Wednesday, Otaez Mexican Restaurant, The New Zealander and East Ocean Chinese Restaurant will offer specials for wine walkers.
A Park Street walk, featuring regional wines and craft beers, is set for October 14, with food specials at Alameda Wine Company, Linguini’s and La Penca Azul (formerly La Piñata).
Tickets are $25 per walk in advance and $30 at the door, or $40 for admission to both, and admission is for people 21 and over only. Tickets are available online or at the events. The ticket price includes a souvenir glass.
The events are presented by the City of Alameda.
