Tonight’s the final Concerts at the Cove show at Crab Cove. And if you’re there grooving to the retro sounds of Casino Royale, stop by The Island’s table and get yourself one of our limited-edition Frisbees, gratis.

The free show begins at 5:30 p.m. today at the Cove, which is at 1252 McKay Avenue. In addition to music, they’ll have food and drink for sale, and free parking for two- and four-wheeled vehicles.

You’ll find your free Frisbee at the table with our snazzy new banner (thanks, Alameda Advertising and Recognition!), so come over and say hi.  Then go put your new toy to good use (like Tashi, pictured above).

And of course, we owe a big thank you to the folks at the West Alameda Business Association, co-sponsors of the event, for the table.

Adam, if this is your campaign platform, then good luck with the race. Most people with busy lives who will vote in November will look at the District Attorney’s findings and not Mr. Gillitts’s frequent comments on Lauren Do’s site (no offense to you Lauren).

Incidentally, the fact that you’re demanding a restoration of “civility” (your words) when you describe the opposition as “paid thugs” speaks volumes.

Best of luck on your “campaign.”
