GRAND THEFT: Police are investigating a grand theft at 2210 South Shore Center, where, police say, an unknown suspect took a gray leather purse from a shopping cart. Totaling $1,250, the stolen goods include a black Kate Spade wallet, a black Canon point-and-shoot camera, and a 32GB black iPhone.

Stolen vehicles: White 1993 Dodge Caravan, between 12:30 a.m. and 7:15 a.m., from the 1200 block of McKay Street.

Wednesday, June 9
BURGLARY: Police believe a person or persons stole gas blowers and gasoline valued at $620 from a shed containing equipment owned by the Alameda Recreation and Park Department. The alleged burglary in the 300 block of Beach Road occurred between 1:30 p.m. on June 8 and 6:30 a.m. on June 9.
Stolen bicycles: Silver Trek 7200 girl’s mountain bike, between 8 a.m. April 27 and 12:45 p.m. the same day, from the 2200 block of Encinal Avenue.
Thursday, June 10
CONTEMPT OF COURT ORDER ARREST: Police said Vivian Kim Snyder, 44, address not given, left and returned to Coast Guard Island numerous times in a 24-hour period against stay-away orders that forbid her presence on government islands.
VANDALISM: An unknown person or persons cut the fuel line to an Alameda Police Department vehicle while that vehicle was parked in a parking lot at 2267 Lincoln Avenue, police said. The alleged vandalism of the car, a white 1989 Dodge V25, occurred between 8 a.m. on June 3 and 8 a.m. on June 4.
BURGLARY: Police are investigating a second burglary of a residence in the 1800 block of Broadway that was allegedly burglarized June 1. On the first occasion, an unknown suspect or suspects removed items valued at $3,500, including money, a ring, and two digital cameras, police said. Between 10:40 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. June 10 at that same residence, someone pried at the rear door lock, forced the door open, and removed a gym bag and two Apple laptops valued at $1,300.
GRAND THEFT: Police are searching for the suspect or suspects who took a women’s engagement ring with a princess-cut diamond from the 1300 block of Central Avenue. Valued at $500, the ring was allegedly stolen between 8:30 p.m. June 9 and 10 a.m. June 10, police said.
BURGLARY: Police said an unknown suspect or suspects entered an unlocked garage in the 1500 block of Ninth Street and removed a blue beach cruiser valued at $150. The alleged crime occurred between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
BURGLARY: Police are investigating an alleged burglary in the 2500 block of Eagle Avenue. A door in a residence appeared to have been kicked open, police said, and items valued at $4,400 were missing, including a laptop and jewelry.
CRIMINAL THREATS ARREST: Police arrested Gerald Stephen Melton, 44, an Alameda resident, on two counts of making criminal threats and one count of resisting arrest. Melton allegedly called the Alameda Police Department and stated that he wanted to stab police, then made threats of killing a neighbor and the neighbor’s dog, police said.

Friday, June 11
BURGLARY: Police are investigating an apparent burglary in the 2200 block of Pacific Avenue. A neighbor witnessed a suspect enter a residence at approximately 3 a.m. on Friday, May 28, police said, but because the resident at the time was in the process of moving, the neighbor did not know whether or not the unknown person was simply aiding in the move. Tools and other cleaning equipment valued at $640 were taken from the residence.
ATTEMPTED AUTO THEFT: A driver who had parked a car at 815 Marina Village Parkway, in front of Lucky’s, in order to catch a chartered bus to Tabletop Casino reported an attempted theft of the car, police said. The alleged crime occurred between 11:30 a.m. June 10 and 1:45 a.m. today.

Saturday, June 12
BURGLARY: Police are investigating an alleged burglary in the 400 block of Sheffield Road. A resident told police that between 3:55 a.m. and 3:58 a.m., an unknown person entered the resident’s garage through an open roll-up door and attempted to steal a bicycle before being chased away.
ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON: Police are searching for an unknown suspect they said cut a victim’s arm with an unknown object, causing a five-inch laceration. The alleged assault occurred in the 1700 block of Clement Avenue between 8 p.m. June 11 and 2 a.m. June 12.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: An unknown person or persons forced a window open at a residence in the 900 block of Park Street but did not make entry, police said. The alleged crime occurred between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.
BURGLARY: Police are searching for the person or persons who entered a residence in the 100 block of Brush Street through a bedroom window and took a jewelry box containing a silver ring band, a pearl necklace, and a metal ring. The alleged crime occurred between 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., police said.
BRANDISHING AND POSSESSION ARREST: Police arrested Glenn Ray Sloan, 55, of Antioch, after he was reported for allegedly brandishing a knife. Sloan allegedly attempted to flee in his vehicle after he was contacted by law enforcement regarding the brandishing incident, police said. The suspect was then cornered by additional responding officers and positively identified as the party responsible for the brandishing incident. A search of Sloan’s car revealed suspected rock cocaine and suspected marijuana, police said.
Sunday, June 13
GRAND THEFT: Police are investigating an alleged theft at Environmental Sign Systems on 2013 Clement Avenue. Sometime between noon on April 26 and noon on May 15, police said, an unknown person or persons took a key to the business and entered the business to remove power tools.
BURGLARY: An unknown suspect or suspects unlocked a sliding door at a residence on the 1500 block of Ninth Street and removed items totaling $430, police said. Items missing in the alleged crime, which police said occurred between 12:01 a.m. and 1 p.m., include two laptops, a driver’s license, and a wallet.
STOLEN VEHICLE COLLISION: Police are investigating a traffic collision involving a black 2006 Mini Cooper that had been reported stolen. The collision happened between 5:30 a.m. and 5:34 a.m. on the 1700 block of Santa Clara Avenue; the name of the person driving the allegedly stolen vehicle has not been released.
Stolen vehicle: White 1995 Acura Integra, between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., from the 2200 block of South Shore Center.
