FAILURE TO REGISTER AS A SEX OFFENDER: Police arrested Kenneth Kevin Parrish, 36, address not given, after arriving at a residence in the 2100 block of Pacific Avenue to investigate a disturbance. Parrish was standing in the driveway of the residence and said the parties involved in the disturbance had left. Upon running a warrants check, police discovered that Parrish was a sex offender who had failed to register.
Stolen vehicles: Blue 2004 Scion XB, between 10:00 p.m. May 30 and 11:00 a.m. May 31, from the 900 block of Park Street.
Stolen bicycles: Black unknown model motocross-style 26″ bicycle and pink girls’ 26″ motocross bike from the 1400 block of Pacific Avenue.

Tuesday, June 1
ROBBERY: Police are investigating a robbery at gunpoint in the 700 block of Buena Vista Avenue. Police said that three suspects, one of whom had a handgun, contacted the victim at his residence. The armed suspect demanded valuables from the victim, pulled a 21″ gold chain with an attached ring from his neck, and took his cell phone before the three suspects fled in an unknown direction.
VANDALISM: Police said a teacher at Encinal High School has been the victim of two incidents of vandalism, one in March and one in April. On both occasions, an unknown person or persons scratched the paint on the teacher’s car with a sharp object. Police believe the suspect is a student.
BURGLARY: Police are looking for the person or persons who, they said, burglarized a home in the 1800 block of Broadway and removed items valued at $3,500, including money, two digital cameras, and a gold, diamond and sapphire ring.
BURGLARY: Police are investigating an alleged burglary in the 300 block of Westline Drive. Police said a person or persons used a screwdriver-type device to force open the front door of a residence and take a computer, bicycle, and iPod valued at $1,400.
Stolen vehicles: Black 2003 Saturn Vue, between 7 p.m. May 31 and 7:30 a.m. today, from the 2000 block of Sandcreek Way.

Wednesday, June 2
BURGLARY: Police are searching for the person or persons who, they said, used a pry tool to open the side door of Perfect Vision 1 at 2404 Central Avenue and removed eyewear from display cases. The total value of the stolen items is estimated at $44,000.
BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 1400 block of Viking Way, at Building 584 on Alameda Point. The suspect or suspects took copper wire from the warehouse, which the Alameda Fire Department uses as a training facility. An AFD training dummy is also missing and presumed stolen from the structure.
BRANDISHING: An alleged road rage incident on Mecartney Road resulted in one party brandishing a shotgun, police said. The altercation happened in the 200 block of Ironwood Road, about two blocks from Mecartney. Police said the suspect was driving a black 2005 Nissan Armada.
Thursday, June 3
GRAND THEFT: Police are investigating an alleged grand theft in the 1800 block of Central Avenue, where they said a person or person stole over $100,000 in jewelry from a floor safe in the victim’s home.
BURGLARY: Police are investigating two alleged burglaries at an Extended Stay America hotel on Marina Village Parkway. Police said an unknown person or persons used a stolen door key to enter a room at the hotel sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. to take a computer and cell phone worth $1,560. Police are also investigating a second alleged burglary at the hotel that they said occurred between 10:30 a.m. and 8:44 p.m. The suspect took a laptop, jewelry, and luggage, police said.
BATTERY AND VANDALISM ARREST: Police arrested Jennifer Ann Hester, 26, of Alameda, for assault and battery and two counts of vandalism after she allegedly dented the hood of a car following a physical alteration with the car’s owner. Hester then allegedly kicked out the right rear window of a patrol car from the back seat. The incident happened in the 400 block of Haight Avenue.
Stolen vehicles: Green 1988 Honda Civic, between 2 p.m. and 8:25 p.m., from the 1300 block of Ballena Boulevard.
White Honda Civic, between noon and 5 p.m., from the 800 block of Central Avenue.
Friday, June 4
BURGLARY: Police are searching for a person or persons who, they said, entered a storage unit at Central Self Storage on the 1300 block of Sherman Street and took a vacuum cleaner. The unit was accessed through an unlocked door, police said.
BURGLARY: Police are investigating an alleged attempted burglary on the 700 block of Taylor Street. Between 6:45 p.m. and 6:47 p.m., police said, the alleged suspect, a black male in his 20s, removed the rear window of a residence and attempted to enter through the window, but residence was occupied at the time.
BURGLARY: Police said a person or persons entered a location on the 3200 block of Encinal Avenue and took a laptop and an iPod. The alleged burglary occurred between 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Stolen bicycles: Blue Diamondback Topanga, between 8:10 a.m. and 3 p.m., from the 1200 block of Fernside Boulevard.
