Measure E: The money race
Just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know that the latest load of campaign finance disclosures for the Measure E school parcel tax are in. The upshot: The tax’s proponents have collected $88,805 to date, and opponents reported collecting $4,255.
Alamedans Protecting Learning at Underfunded Schools, the pro-E folks, collected $20,000 from developer SunCal this week. They also received contributions from six school PTAs. The committee earned $2,480 selling “Yes on E” T-shirts and $575 at a fundraising concert.
Opponents of the measure collected $325 in contributions between May 6 and June 5 and an $1,100 loan.
The all-mail ballot is due in to elections officials by June 22.
