Will Avellar pitched 5 1/3 innings for the Cardinals on June 3, allowing only one hit with five strikeouts and two walks, keeping the Red Sox shutout until the sixth inning. The Cardinals also remained scoreless until the fifth inning when Julian Pelzner slammed a double, followed by Daniel Ratto’s two-RBI single, and Bronson Lee’s one-run double. Red Sox pitcher Devin Noonan pitched 3 1/3 shutout innings, yielding five strikeouts and one walk. Clay Harding’s single put the Red Sox on the board, bringing in Isaac Delao, who had drawn a walk.

AAA Division

Drs. Johnson and Jolley Orthodontics Knights 24, DOER Marine Red Wings 4
On Saturday, June 5, on the final day of the season for both teams, Davis Tansey led an offensive explosion for the Knights, driving in five runs with a triple and home run. Grant Bevan was three-for-three with three triples and three RBIs, and struck out two in his scoreless inning of work on the hill. Daniel Alvarado, Josh Soltz, Nicholas Saikley and Kai Chin all pitched well for the Knights, and held the Red Wings’ bats in check. Miles Burton added three hits, driving in three runs, and Dallin Stewart lined a two-run double and an RBI single to help pace the Knights’ offense.

J.P. Seafood Company Bees 13, Harvest Food Products Co., Inc. Diamond Jaxx 7
On Saturday, June 5, the Bees’ Ernest Ho was the team’s RBI leader, driving in five runs. Ameer Omar added an inside-the-park home run, and Jayshawn Wise dominated in pitching, striking out six batters in two innings. The Diamond Jaxx’s Luis Ronquillo hit a two-run double in the first. Deagland Rossi-Tormey also contributed both defensively from the mound as well as offensively, driving in three runs. David Tuutafaiva and Christian Collins both scored on the day, Collins crossing home plate off of Michael Waldman’s second inning double.

20/20 and Team Parent Sponsored Tigers vs. Alain Pinel Realty Marlins
In their final game of the season on June 6, Tiger Campbell Walter played a good all around game, lining two singles and stopping a well-hit ball from the pitcher’s mound. Caimain McKay got two singles, one RBI, and did an outstanding job at first base. Cooper Boyle smacked a single and showed hustle at third base, and Henry Mills got two singles and played a great shortstop for the Tigers. For the Marlins, Stephan Schneider hit a double and a home run, and caught a fly ball for an out. Tibor Thompson got two singles and forced a runner at second base, and Jordan Alva added two singles and made a sparkling play for an out at third base.
