Alameda Theatre Blue Jays vs. Oakland Pink Panthers
Great hitting from Maddie Mersch, Kelly Carlson, Elizabeth Zenner and Kayla Chang helped out the team. Some awesome defensive plays came from Katie Hosokawa as catcher and Cynthia Beall at the mound. Kamryn Beene, Adella Cho and Amaya Soto also had great hits and helped team morale. Kate Hockensmith and Althea Kaldis had a positive attitude throughout and helped their team with both defense and offense.

Douglas S. Mitchell, DMD Red Robins vs. Oakland Blue Jays
Suraya Picaso had the hit of the game when she crushed one to the outfield. Sarah Leong made great contact in each of her at bats, and Ella Rossi contributed a pair of very solid hits as well. Sophia Middleton had two big hits and nice stops in the field, and Elleke Knibbe hit and handled the ball well.

Astropress/Burger King of Alameda Firecrackers vs. Piedmont Stars
Cambria Restagno made some outstanding plays at first base. Meg Rosenbaum (lefty) had two strong hits and ran hard to first base. Stella Cashin and Iwalani Cruz both smashed the ball into the outfield.




Carroll Construction Cyclones 5, Tucker’s Ice Cream/Advanced Health Chiropractic Green Dragonflies 2
Emma Tillman hit a solid single for her first hit of the season, Deanna Benedetto also contributed a hit for the Dragonflies. Isabelle Brown-Lyden had a RBI single and two excellent defensive stops in left field. Lucy Helms continued her excellent play at first base with two unassisted outs in the fourth inning. Ella Stiger played well at shortstop.
From the Cyclones: The Carroll Construction Cyclones posted a tough 5-2 win over the Green Dragonflies. Lead-off batter Rachel Nonan roped two ground ball singles and got the Cyclones started. Sophia Piamonte soon broke open the game with a double smashed to right field that scored two runs. Chloe McMann-Chapman sealed the game as she drove in the final run and showed she off her blazing speed as she beat out a close play at first place.

SMART Phone & Photo Red Hot Chili Peppers 7, Oakland Fireflies 0
Hailey Hayes led off the bottom half of the first with plays at third base, and Kaitlyn Ogata pitched a strong first inning. That set the tone for the game as Rowan Esquer snagged a two out line drive from the circle to end the second inning. Leading the hitting attack was Carlin Shannon, who smoked a ball down the third base line for a double. Sarah McCarthy contributed with a pair of singles.




Airport Appliance Galaxy 9, San Lorenzo Misfits 8
This game was down to the wire, with the Galaxy pulling out the win in the bottom of the fifth. Ten defensive plays by the Galaxy held the Misfits at bay, but the hit of Amy Grimm drove in Bella Vick for the tying run, which allowed Rosalyn Luque to leave third on an error. Luque’s aggressive running and slide to home was the winning run.

Gallagher & Lindsey Fire Devils 7, San Lorenzo Pink Panthers 7
The Fire Devils met the San Lorenzo Pink Panthers, ending in a 7-7 tie. Pitchers Bea Levy and Ginny Woodworth kept the opponent at zero runs in the first half. Catching throughout game, Samantha Shaffer attempted pick-offs at second and made an out at home. Viktoria Gilbert caught an infield fly and Jenna Long had an RBI.

San Lorenzo Blue Demons 13, Gallagher & Lindsey Fire Devils 12
Game two of a double-header, the Fire Devils met the San Lorenzo Demons ending in a loss, 13-12. The Devils played a closely matched game featuring base stealers Elizabeth Fraser and Samantha Shaffer kicking up the dust. Consistent hitting by Shaffer, Tabbi Compton and Valerie Sheridan-Zavala were a highlight.

Law Offices of Paul F. Mahler Blue Dragons 6, Airport Home & Appliance Galaxy 3
Ruby Siltanen singled twice and struck out eight batters. Sarah Mahler and Savannah Mesterhazy each made two catches for outs at first, and Mesterhazy made her third out with a catch at second. Madison O’Connor made two throws to first base for outs. Julia Mendelsohn threw to first for an out, and had four steals. The win was a true team effort.

Law Offices of Paul F. Mahler Blue Dragons 18, Oakland Golden Gloves 4
Tatiana Cordova-Glaze made her first start as pitcher, striking out four batters. Elizabeth Noble singled. Helen Montell-Weiland singled twice. Ellie MacLean got on base three out of four times, and Kimble Helms was four for four getting on base. This was a remarkable win for the team, with every girl stepping up and playing her new position with focus and determination.

Barbara Galera D.D.S Lightning Bolts 7, Harbor Bay Realty Go Go Geckos 5
The Lightning Bolts secured a win that included RBIs by Sally Parsons, Allie Cvitanovic, Alexis Esparza and Jane Rausser, whose powerful triple alone cleared the loaded bases. Alert, defensive plays near second base by Danielle Yee and Chiara Stiger held potential base stealers at first. Overall, the Bolts’ combination of steady pitches, solid hitting and careful defense carried the game.
