Alameda Theatre BlueJays vs. Burger King/Astropress Firecrackers
The Alameda Theatre Blue Jays vs. the Burger King/Astropress Firecrackers started with some excellent plays at first between Kamryn Beene and Maddie Mersch. Great hits were made by all of the girls with amazing shots by Kelly Carlson and Althea Kaldis, who also did outstanding as the catcher! Everyone worked hard and did their best. The Blue Jays continue to support each other with positive teamwork.

Douglas S. Mitchell, DMD Red Robins vs. Oakland Knights
The Red Robins lit up a cold Oakland afternoon with their positive attitude and strong batting. On defense, Elleke Knibbe stopped the hits up the middle, while Patricia Penalver and Kathleen (Katie) Ohno teamed up on some great infield plays.

AGSA 12U-14U

Danish Interiors/McDonalds Central 11, La Estrellita Cafe Bloo 7
The Pink Panthers took the lead early and never let it go thanks to a strong effort from the entire lineup. Aggressive base running by Zhana Prince and Dalia Quezada led to both players stealing second and third before scoring. Strong defense by Kennedy Hanson playing first and Katy Higuchi on third held the Bloo to two runs until they rallied in the top of the sixth, scoring five runs, including a two-run homer by Angelica Parodi.

Oakland Cobras 11, Seven Salon/McDonald’s Shoreline Junior Mints 7
Jordan Cenidoza and Sarah Fiedler put two runs on the board in the first. Good base running by Caitlin Shener, Nora Kettles and Jordan added three more. Oakland scored four in the third bringing the score to 6-5. Help from Jordan and Sarah allowed Nora to score, which tied the game. Kelly Desmond’s single in the sixth allowed Caitlin to score, but in the end it wasn’t enough and the Junior Mints take a loss of 11-7 against Oakland.

Piedmont #1 6, Bayside Specialty Construction Transformers 5
The Transformers lost a hard-fought game in the last inning. Dannielle McCarthy keyed a four-run first inning with a triple. Defensively, Maura Eve Willow threw out a runner at first base – from right field! Chloe Hodge also made a nice outfield catch in center. On the infield, Vivienne Saulovich made a nice play at pitcher, and Alanna Reyes made a nice play from shortshop, throwing over to first baseman Mariko Stenstedt.
