Monday, March 8


BATTERY: Alameda police are investigating an alleged battery at Island High School. Police said two non-students came on school grounds at about 2 p.m. today, attacked two students at the school and fled. Suspect information was not released, though police said they were driving a gold Buick with 26-inch rims and a raised body.

THEFT ARREST: Police arrested Efrain Alejandro Talamante, 20, of Alameda on a petty theft warrant. Police said they conducted a walking stop of Talamante after he was called in as a suspicious person and that he was found to have the warrant. He was arrested at 2:40 p.m.

FORGERY ARREST: Police arrested Traci Lynise White, 49, of Oakland and Tupou Leeann Finou, 27, also of Oakland, on forgery and burglary charges. Police said White and Finou brought two checks into a check-cashing business on the 600 block of Central Avenue and attempted to cash them. They were arrested at 3:37 p.m.

BURGLARY: Police said they investigated an alleged burglary on the 3000 block of Enterprise Drive. Police said a suspect entered the residence sometime between 6 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. through an unlocked front door, ransacked the victim’s bedroom and fled without taking anything.

BATTERY: Police said they arrested Dawn Marie Houser, 26, of Alameda and Loraina Andres Nunes, 25, also of Alameda, on battery charges. Police said that at about 7:40 p.m., Nunes tried to break up an argument taking place on the 900 block of Central Avenue when Houser knocked her to the ground and punched her. The following day at the same location, police arrested Alejandre Mora Racelis, 52, of Alameda, also on a battery charge. Police said that at 1:45 p.m., the victim asked Racelis to turn his music down and Racelis yelled obscenities ad her, spat in her face an chased her down the driveway of their apartment complex while yelling at her.


Tuesday, March 9


THEFT ARREST: Police arrested Arshad Jovon Crawford, 19, of Alameda, on a grand theft warrant. Police said they saw Crawford standing at the corner of Santa Clara Avenue and Park Street and recognized him as a suspect with the theft and other warrants. Police arrested Crawford at 4:02 p.m.

ROBBERY: Police are looking for two suspects who, they said, robbed a woman of $900 and ran. Police said that at about 10 p.m. March 5, the suspects followed the victim as she walked on the sidewalk on the 1800 block of Chapin Street, grabbed at her pants pockets asking “What you got?” and took her money and fled. Suspect descriptions were not available.


Wednesday, March 10


BURGLARY: Police said someone took copper wires from a commercial building on the 300 block of West Atlantic Avenue and left behind their burglary tools and personal items. Police said the alleged crime took place between 2 a.m. and 2:48 a.m.

BURGLARY: Police are looking for the person who, they said, broke into a storage trailer parked on the 100 block of Stardust Place and took a laptop, camera, modem and backpack valued at $1,800. Police said the alleged crime took place sometime between 3:30 p.m. March 8 and 7 a.m. March 9.

Stolen bicycles: Adult tricycle, between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., from the 300 block of Central Avenue.

Raleigh M20 mountain bike and Schwinn 10-speed boys road bike, between noon January 15 and noon February 10, from the 1700 block of Chapin Street.

Black Mongoose BMX bike, between 6:30 p.m. and 6:35 p.m., from the 2300 block of Otis Drive.


Thursday, March 11


THEFT ARREST: Police arrested Lamont Delmore Robinson Jr., 27, of Antioch on a grand theft warrant. Police said they stopped Robinson for running a red light and that he had an outstanding warrant on the theft charge. He was arrested at 9:41 p.m. and transported to Alameda City Jail.

Stolen autos: White 1989 Honda Prelude, between 7:30 p.m. March 10 and 5:45 a.m. today, from the 1900 block of Shoreline Drive.

Stolen bicycles: Trek 7300 mens mountain bike, between 8 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. March 11, from the 1600 block of Park Street.


Friday, March 12


THEFT ARREST: Police arrested Michael Mio Flores, 18, of Alameda, on theft and intoxication charges. Police said that Flores was contacted after leaving th scene of a theft and that he matched the description of the suspect in that theft. They said Flores was also intoxicated. He was arrested at 2:47 a.m. on the 2300 block of Shoreline Drive and transported to Alameda City Jail.

BURGLARIES: Police said an unknown suspect or suspects broke into an apartment on the 700 block of Central Avenue and stole computers, an iPod and navigation system valued at $4,000. Police said that sometime between 6:50 a.m. and 6 p.m., someone gained entry into the apartment and stole the items. Police are also looking for the person or persons who, they said, broke into an apartment on the 1400 block of Eighth Street and stole two laptops valued at $600. Police said the alleged crime occurred between 6:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Police did not say if the burglaries were connected.


Saturday, March 13


BATTERY ARREST: Police arrested Reynaldo Pederez Marte, 26, of Alameda, on battery, vandalism and intoxication charges. Police said Marte was contacted on the 1300 block of Oak Street because he was similar to a suspect in a battery and vandalism case and that Marte had blood on his face and hands. Police said Marte also appeared intoxicated and that he was found to be in possession of “a large amount of U.S. currency” and three bindles of suspected cocaine. Police arrested Marte at 2:09 a.m. and transported him to Alameda City Jail.

BURGLARY: Police are looking for the person or persons who, they said, took a shop vac and tool box valued at $385 from a home on the 300 block of Driftwood Way. Police said the alleged burglary took place sometime between 12:30 p.m. March 12 and noon today. They said the items were left near the victim’s open garage door.

STOLEN PROPERTY ARREST: Police arrested Alexi Matias Keller, 18, of Alameda, on a possession of stolen property charge. Police said Keller as identified as being in possession of stolen property and that he was arrested at 5:30 p.m. in front of his home.

Stolen autos: White 1995 Honda Civic, between 4 p.m. March 12 and 7:45 a.m. today, from the 700 block of Taylor Avenue.

Stolen bicycles: Two bicycles, unknown make and model, between 9:30 p.m. March 10 and 10 a.m. today, from the 1600 block of Central Avenue.


Sunday, March 14


BURGLARY: Police are looking for the person or persons who, they said, broke into an apartment on the 400 block of Buena Vista Avenue and stole computers and cash valued at $1,600. Police said that sometime between 10:20 a.m. and 2:50 p.m., someone used a pry tool to open a locked, sliding glass door and take the items.

Stolen bicycles: White and black Trek 7200, between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., from the 1800 block of Santa Clara Avenue.
