All 6U games canceled due to weather




SMART Phone & Photo Red Hot Chili Peppers 10, Oakland #6 Black Bear 0
Veteran 8U pitchers for the Smart Phone & Photo Red Hot Chili Peppers — Kaitlyn Ogata, Carlin Shannon and Rowan Esquer — threw a combined no-hitter Saturday in Oakland, holding the Black Bears runless while allowing the Peppers to score 10 of their own. Shannon and Ogata each hit doubles, while most of the rest of the team also managed to get on base, notably including Hailey Hayes and Megan Stilling, each with singles.




Gallagher & Lindsey Fire Devils 8, Oakland #1 Dynamite 8
The Fire Devils showcased great pitching today against the Oakland Dynamite team. With nerves of steel, the pitchers held the game to a tie, 8-8. All three pitchers were able to earn a strike-out inning, Beatrice Levy earned two. The team fought against their opponents’ strong pitching with great offensive batting. Valerie Sheridan-Zavala and Ginny Woodworth hit in singles with RBIs. Christine Warren had one RBI and Samantha Shaffer scored two runs and two RBIs.

Airport Home Appliance Galaxy 17, Oakland #3 Firecrackers 4
The Galaxy game was a game of hitting and great defense. Every Galaxy player was on a bag during the game. Both Mira Piamonte and Bella Vick had a rocket hit past second base, and Amy Grimm, Kacy Stoddard, Kiley Carter, Rosalyn Luque and Lily Walovich all had singles. Twelve combined strikeouts by the Galaxy pitchers.

Barbara Galera, DDS Lightning Bolts 15, Oakland #2 Angry Leprechauns 2The Lightning Bolts warmed up a cool morning with their electric win against the Oakland Angry Leprechauns. In the top of the fourth, Jane Rausser aroused the crowd with a stunning double. Allie Cvitanovic pitched a solid 1-2-3 inning in the second. Sydney Williams combined with catcher Sally Parsons for two 1-2 put outs. Pitcher Claire Tajima turned two 1-3 put outs to close out the game.

Oakland #1 Cobras 6, Bayside Specialty Construction Transformers 3
In their contest up in Oakland, The Transformers got RBIs from Julia Boyden, Ester McCarthy and Vivienne Saulovich. Christina Carmon contributed a base hit in the second.

The Cobras’ hitting put the pressure on the Transformer defense but Dannielle McCarthy turned in an unassisted double play and Alanna Reyes struck out the side in the sixth inning to keep the score close.
