Kiwanis Chili Cook-Off is Saturday
The 11th Annual Kiwanis Chili Cook-Off and BBQ Dinner is this Saturday, January 23. Tickets for the event, which is a benefit for local charities, are $50, and free for kids under 7. They’re available online, by calling 764-1472 or at the Bank of Alameda’s Park Street branch.
The event will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Albert H. DeWitt Officers Club, which is at 641 West Redline Avenue on Alameda Point.
This year’s event includes a chili competition in which you can vote for your favorite, with a BBQ dinner from Back Forty Texas BBQ (all you can eat!) and a no-host bar. They’ll also have a cash raffle with a $1,000 first-place prize, silent auction, music and dancing and a Kiddie Corral for kids 3 to 7.
