Alameda Soccer Club election results

Submitted by on 1, January 15, 2010 – 5:45 amOne Comment

A number of folks have asked me how Monday’s Alameda Soccer Club election for its 2010 turned out. Before too much time goes by (and because I did promise more info), here are the results.

The winners include all nine members of a slate of coaches who feel shortchanged by the Jack London Youth Soccer League and who feel the Alameda club’s younger players – who make up the majority of the club’s membership – aren’t getting their fair share of fields and other club resources. The slate’s members said they would consider changes that could include joining a new league.

Sounds like more than 160 votes were cast in Monday night’s election.
