Vote for Michael!
Amid the unfortunate onslaught of news this holiday week came a sweet little e-missive – call it an e-plea – from one Michael James Collier.
Collier, an Alameda native and vice president of the East Bay Front Runners and Walkers, submitted an audition tape to host on KOFY-TV during the months of January and February. He’s now one of three finalists for the gig, and he needs your vote to put him in the host’s chair.
“The reason why I think I would make a great host is because I’m quirky, I’m wacky, and I’m very quick witted. And people tell me I look great on film,” Collier, a 39-year-old office manager who billed himself as a “Wacky local boy,” said in his 55-second audition tape.
Collier’s tape will be aired on the station, which is channel 20 on your TV dial (or 13 on cable), on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. To vote for him and check out his audition, go to KOFY’s website, click “KOFY Club” (you’ll have to register) and then “Be a KOFY TV host.”
