ROBBERY: Police are looking for three people who robbed a woman at knifepoint this afternoon. Police said the victim was surrounded by the suspects shortly after 3 p.m. at the corner of Union Street and San Jose Avenue and robbed of her iPod. One of the suspects was wielding a knife. Police did not provide a physical description of the suspect, but they described the suspects’ vehicle as a silver Mazda SUV.

ATTEMPTED GRAND THEFT: Police are looking for a man who, they said, tried to steal a table and wood pallets from the Lucky’s grocery store at Marina Village, shortly before 4 p.m. Police said the suspect, a 30-year-old Asian male, got away with a few items but was prevented from taking more when a witness spotted him. Police said the man is 5’5” and weighs 150 lbs., and that he was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans. His vehicle was described as a white, two-door 1999 Toyota Tacoma.

Stolen autos: Black 2009 Honda Element, between 7 p.m. December 20 and 9 a.m. today, from the 2900 block of Gibbons Drive.

Tuesday, December 22

GRAND THEFT: Police are looking for a suspect who, they said, stole a necklace worth $3,000 from a locker at a local gym. Police said the victim inadvertently left the black pearl and diamond necklace in the locker, which was secured with a combination lock, when she left the Mariner Square Loop gym at 4:30 p.m. December 20. When she returned at 10 a.m. December 21, the necklace was gone. Police said the locker was still secured with the padlock when the woman returned.

IDENTITY THEFT: Police are looking for the person or persons who stole a Doris Court resident’s information and used it to open two charge accounts. Police said the victim became aware of the alleged crime when they received a call stating they had an overdue balance of $1,006 on an in-store charge account. Police said the alleged crime took place between September 10 and December 21.

BURGLARY: Police are looking for the person or persons who broke into an apartment on the 300 block of Westline Drive and stole a computer, cash and jewelry. Police said the suspect or suspects pried open the victims’ apartment door sometime between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and stole the items. The value of the items was not listed.

IDENTITY THEFT: Police are looking for the person or persons who stole a Shorepoint Court resident’s identity and used it to open a credit card account. Police said the victim became aware of the alleged crime when she got a call from a collections company saying she owed an outstanding credit card balance of $486.08. Police said the account was opened in April 2008 at a company called Mason Shoes in Wisconsin. They listed a suspect address in Oakland.

BATTERY: Police said they received a report of a suspect slapping a 9-year-old boy in the face after an argument this afternoon. Police said the suspect became angry with the victim sometime between noon and 12:30 p.m. while the pair were at Ruby Bridges Elementary School and slapped him in the face.

BURGLARY: Police are looking for the person or persons who they said broke into a Sandcreek Way residence, possibly through a rear sliding door, stole a resident’s purse and fled, abandoning the purse in the victim’s backyard. Police said the alleged crime occurred sometime between 9:15 p.m. and 9:55 p.m.

Wednesday, December 23

GRAND THEFT: Police are looking for the person or persons who, they said, broke into a truck parked on the 3000 block of Marina Drive and stole a camera and hand tools worth $450. Police said the alleged crime occurred sometime between 11 p.m. December 22 and 9:11 a.m. today.

ROBBERY: Police are looking for the person who yanked a necklace off an elderly woman’s neck and fled Wednesday afternoon. Police said the alleged robbery occurred on the 2900 block of Lincoln Avenue shortly before 3 p.m. They described the suspect as a black male, age 35, 5’7” and 140 lbs., wearing a beanie, a black, leather coat and dark-colored pants.

BURGLARY: Police are looking for the person or persons who broke into a room on the 1200 block of South Loop Road and stole items valued at $5,398.98. Police said that sometime between 8:55 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., someone broke into the victims’ room and stole an Xbox, a laptop, cash, makeup and a bag.

BURGLARY: Police are looking for the person or persons who broke into a home on the 1800 block of St. Charles Street and stole a television, a DVD player and other property. Police said the alleged crime occurred sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 5:20 p.m.

Thursday, December 24

THEFT OF CHECKS: Police are looking for the person who, they said, stole checks from a St. Charles Street resident, wrote them out for thousands of dollars and deposited them. Police said they learned of the alleged crime when the executor of the victim’s estate got calls from three banks saying they had received what they believed to be fraudulent checks in the amounts of $5,500, $6,800 and $6,800.

CARJACKING: Police are looking for two suspects in an alleged carjacking. Police said the suspects pulled up behind the victims’ white 2000 Toyota Camry shortly after 9 p.m. as the victims sat in their car at the 2300 block of Shoreline Drive. The first suspect approached the victims with a rifle and ordered them to get out of the car, then fled with their vehicle. Police described the first suspect as an Hispanic male in his 20s, 5’9” with a thin build, wearing a black beanie and a dark plaid shirt. The second suspect was described as a male, but police had no further information on him. They said the suspects were driving a white, four-door sedan.

GRAND THEFT: Police are looking for the person or persons who broke into an unlocked vehicle parked on the 100 block of Ratto Road and stole a laptop. Police said the alleged crime occurred sometime between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. today. The laptop was valued at $1,100.

BURGLARY: Police are looking for the person or persons who stole jewelry, a computer and cash valued at $1,545 from an apartment on the 500 block of Buena Vista Avenue while the victims were at church. Police said that sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., the suspect or suspects pried open the apartment door, stole the items and left.

Stolen bicycles: Black tricycle with metal bicycle basket, between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. December 24, from the 1300 block of Santa Clara Avenue.

Stolen autos: Blue 1995 GMC Safari van, between 10:30 p.m. and 10:35 p.m., from the 1900 block of Main Street.

STRONG ARM ROBBERY: Police are looking for two suspects who stole $145.63 worth of items from a local grocery store and fought with store security in order to escape. Police said a suspect stole items from Nob Hill Foods  shortly after 2 p.m. and that when the suspect was confronted by store security, that suspect and a second suspect fought with the security officers and escaped. Police did not describe the suspects but they described their vehicle as a copper 1989 Honda four-door sedan.

Stolen autos: Blue 1992 Honda Accord four-door, between 5 p.m. and 7:58 p.m., from the 400 block of Haight Avenue.
