Midway Shelter run is Saturday
Looking to shake off the last of that Thanksgiving pie and support a worthy cause at the same time? Well, we’ve got just the thing for you. This Saturday morning, December 5, is the date for the annual Midway Shelter Run and Walk. Registration is just $15 for adults and kids 12 and up, and it’s available online through 4 p.m. Friday, December 4.
The 5K run/one mile walk begins at 9 a.m. at the Harbor Bay Ferry Terminal, 2 Mecartney Road, and takes participants on a scenic tour along the Bay, to the Bay Farm Island bridge and back. The event also includes a free, half-mile run for kids under 12.
More information, including registration and sponsor forms, is available here. Or call Mark Hovermale at 523-2647 or e-mail him at email@example.com.
If you can’t make the race but want to help out the shelter, you can send checks to: Midway Shelter, P.O. Box 951, Alameda, CA 94501.
