Your weekend: St. George gets in the spirit
St. George Spirits is hosting its holiday open house this Saturday afternoon, with a twist: It’s “A Winter Wonderland” where cheesy prom attire is recommended and your favorite ’80s songs (and some originals) will be played by local rockers Farewell Typewriter (Spanish and classical guitarist John H. Clarke will open things up).
“We’ve bought Santa hats and reindeer headbands,” said St. George’s “Vodka Vixen,” Andie. “It’s a call to arms.”
In addition to cocktail tasters (how’s absinthe and root beer grab ya?), they’ll offer tastes off the still, ice luges for vodka and demonstrations. And they’ll have food from El Huarache Loco, Pacific Fine Food, La Cocina and more, and sweets from Gelateria Naia and Recchiuti Confections.
They’ll even have a photographer on hand to document your participation in the occasion. (Hmm.)
The event is from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, November 21 at St. George Spirits, which is at 2601 Monarch Street on Alameda Point. Tickets are $40 in advance, $50 on the day of the event. For tickets and information, call 864-0635.
