Halloween 2009

Alameda celebrated Halloween in style this year (did you expect any less?), hosting a series of fun trick-or-treating events and thousands of little ghouls and goblins.
Merchants along Webster Street offered treats, pumpkins and fun to hundreds of costumed kiddies during their four-hour celebration Saturday afternoon, which included Gallagher and Lindsey-sponsored booths with all sorts of fun and games.
Then at 3 p.m., the hordes gathered at Alameda Towne Centre, which had its own treats and music by Cowboy Jared. (While I was there I saw they’ll also have a new gift shop, where Carlin’s Shoes used to be.)
As always, folks had their homes decked out to the nines, with displays that ranged from cute to scary to downright works of art. And this Halloween falling on a perfectly warm (and dry!) Saturday night brought out the masses along Bay Street and elsewhere.
