PETTY THEFT: Police said someone took the Feel Good Bakery’s store sign off the side of the Alameda Marketplace between 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. today. Police said the four foot by one foot sign, which was affixed to the south wall of the building, was the third sign stolen from there this year. They said the sign is worth $200.

FRAUD: Police arrested Sophorn Ket, 26, of Oakland on a charge of passing a bad check. Police said Ket took money from someone who asked her to cash a fake check at a local store. She was booked at the Alameda Police Department. On a separate report, police said that three fake checks were cashed at the store on three different days, by different suspects. Suspect information in the other cases was not released.

BURGLARY: Police are looking for a suspect or suspects who broke into an apartment on Otis Drive and stole a laptop and camera worth $900. Police said the unknown suspect forced entry into the apartment sometime between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.

ROBBERY: Police are looking for two suspects who assaulted a man and stole his cell phone. Police said the suspects punched and kicked the victim sometime between 10:30 p.m. and 10:49 p.m., stole his cell phone, and fled. The crime occurred in the 2200 block of Central Avenue. Police described the suspects as a white male, 5’8″, about 19 years old, named Sean, and the second suspect as a black male, 21 to 23, also 5’8″, heavy set, with a dark complexion.

GRAND THEFT: Police are looking for the person or persons who stole stereo equipment and ambulance supplies valued at $1,040 from a personal vehicle. Police said the items were taken from a locked vehicle in a gated parking garage in the 300 block of Westline Drive, sometime between 7:30 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. today.

GRAND THEFT: Police are looking for the person or persons who took a personal laptop computer valued at $1,110 from a patron of the Main Library. Police said the victim left his laptop unattended on a table for 10 minutes while he used the restroom and got a drink of water, at 3:16 p.m. When he returned, the laptop was gone.

THEFT: Police are looking for the person who, they said, scammed an elderly resident out of $3,290. Police said the suspect phone the victim sometime between 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. pretending to be a relative. The suspect claimed they had gotten into a car accident in another state and asked the victim to send money.

AUTO THEFT: Police are looking for the person or persons who stole a vehicle from an unnamed block of Shoreline Drive, sometime between 6:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Police said the vehicle is a grey 2005 Toyota Camry.

THEFTS: Police are investigating the theft of tools from the vehicles of two Liberty Avenue residents, which they said occurred sometime Tuesday night or Wednesday morning. Police said that windows had been broken in each of the vehicles and tools taken. The items in the cases were valued at $330 and $689, respectively.

BURGLARY: Police are looking for the person or persons who stole silverware and collectibles from a Sherman Street storage locker. Police said the theft occurred sometime between 10 a.m. July 7 and 10 a.m. today. A value estimate for the missing items was not given.

BURGLARY: Police are looking for two suspects who they said broke into a Santa Clara Avenue residence but fled when confronted by their victim. Police said the suspect broke into the residence shortly after 1 p.m. and began searching rooms there when the victim woke up and confronted them. Police described the first suspect as a black male, 18 years old, 5’8″ and about 130 lbs., with short, black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans, black shoes and white gloves. The second suspect was described as a black male, 20, 5’9″ and 130 lbs., wearing a black beanie, black T-shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.

GRAND THEFT: Police are looking for the person or persons who broke into a vehicle and stole a car stereo face plate, video games, a video game player and compact discs worth $575. Police said the theft occurred sometime between 7 a.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of a Park Avenue apartment complex.

GRAND THEFT: Police are looking for the person or persons who stole two LCD projectors worth $1,120 from Lum Elementary School. Police said the theft occurred sometime between June 17 and today. The items were stolen from two separate classrooms at the school.

GRAND THEFT: Police are looking for a suspect who stole nearly $800 worth of shirts from a store in the 2200 block of Southshore Center. Police said the theft occurred sometime between noon and 1:50 p.m. Sunday.

ANNOYANCE: Police are looking for a suspect who kissed a 4-year-old child’s hand in the bathroom of a building in an unnamed block of Santa Clara Avenue and told the child to keep it a secret. Police said the incident occurred sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. October 13. Additional suspect information was not available.

GRAND THEFT: Police are looking for a suspect or suspect who stole wallets, a cell phone and a purse valued at $1,470 from two vehicles parked in the 800 block of West Tower Avenue. Police said the thefts occurred sometime between 8:55 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

BURGLARY ARRESTS: Police arrested three people who they suspect of burglarizing a grocery store. Police arrested Alonzo Montez Taylor Sr., 33, of San Leandro; and Laketta Stariz Murry, 40, of Oakland, on burglary charges. They also arrested Clifford Leroy Couey, 62, of San Francisco, who they said drove the suspects to and from the scene of the crime. Police said the trio were in a car that police had identified as being involved in the alleged burglary. They said all three suspects also had outstanding warrants. They were arrested and booked into Alameda City Jail.

AUTO THEFT: Police are looking for the person or persons who took a green 1998 Acura Integra from its parking spot in the 1800 block of Shoreline Drive. Police said the car was taken sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 8:10 a.m. They said the victim found smashed window glass in the area where her car had been parked.

ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON: Police are looking for the person who assaulted someone with a tennis racket this morning. Police said the attack occurred after an argument at around 10:15 a.m. in an unnamed block on Mecartney Road. They said the suspect jabbed the victim in the neck with the racket.

AUTO THEFT: Police are looking for the person or persons who took a white 1990 Acura Legend from its parking spot in the 2900 block of Adams Street. Police said the car was taken sometime between 10 p.m. Thursday and noon today.
