Rain, rain, go away
This was the scene in front of the Alameda Police Department at around 3:30 p.m. Monday, after an out-of-nowhere deluge flooded all four corners of the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Oak Street and many, many other spots around town. At 9 p.m., the National Weather Service was reporting a 24-hour rainfall total of three quarters of an inch of rain at Oakland International Airport.
That said, the weather service is predicting clear skies and smooth sailing from here on out, with sun and temperatures in the mid 60s and lower 70s for the rest of this week.
