11-150x150The school board begins a fresh round of public workshops to discuss the master plan they’re working on at 6:30 p.m. today in the cafeteria at Alameda High School, 2200 Central Avenue.

Tonight, they’ll talk about their road map for putting together the plan, which the school board hopes to approve in December, and about the possibility of creating district magnet schools. Additional topics to be covered at the bi-weekly meetings include increasing class sizes and reducing the school year, creating efficiencies in the district office, changing grade configurations and more.

If you’ve got something to add – an upcoming garden project, film screening, you name it – send it along to us at michele@theislandofalameda.com.
