Final draft of new master tree plan available
The city has just released its final draft of a new master tree plan. The new plan, which lays out priorities for planting and maintaining our urban forest, is to be discussed by the Planning Board at its meeting next Monday, September 28.
I’ll have more on the plan next week, after I’ve had a chance to make my way through it (it’s two volumes). In the meantime, you can check it out here.
If approved, the plan would replace one the city completed in 1989. According to the plan, the city has about 15,000 trees.
