Zuppan nominated for planning board opening
Mayor Beverly Johnson on Tuesday night nominated Lorre Zuppan to fill the Planning Board seat vacated by Margaret McNamara when her term expired on June 30.
Zuppan has served on the city’s Economic Development Commission since February 2006 (she’s the second member of that body, after Art Autorino, to be nominated for a seat on the Planning Board) and also served on the Fiscal Sustainability Committee, which was put together by the city council last year to create a long-range forecast for the city’s finances.
Zuppan is the president of Branes LLC, a locally based management consultant firm.
Her appointment to the seven-member board is subject to a vote of the City Council. Planning board members serve four-year terms.
