logo_200x200_000262Looking for stuff to do on the Island this weekend? Well, you’ve got plenty of options. There’s the USS Hornet’s Splashdown event (have I mentioned they’ve got moonwalker Buzz Aldrin coming?), the Park Street Art & Wine Faire … and a Kids Take the Stage production of “Beauty and the Beast.”

The show, which features a number of local kids (click here to see if your neighbor’s kid is in the cast), is running at 7 p.m. Friday, July 24; 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, July 25; and 2 p.m. Sunday, July 26 at the Little Theater at Alameda High School, 2200 Central Avenue.

Tickets for the two-hour show are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and kids under 14 (children under 2 are free). They’re available online (for the Friday show at least) or at the box office.
