The statement of “carbon-free” is a misnomer. The carbon from the landfill is just being burned up for energy, istead of being obtained elsewhere. Carbon Dioxide is still a “global warming” by-product of combustion.

Remember, each time you breath you produce carbon dioxide and contribure to global warming. Without carbon dioxide plants would die.
