The City of Alameda and Community Action for a Sustainable Alameda are hosting a trio of Zero Waste Workshops this Thursday, July 11. Here’s the schedule:

Zero waste business meeting – 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., City Hall, Room 360, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue

Zero waste school site meeting – 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.. Alameda High School Media Center, 2201 Encinal Avenue (An Alameda Recreation and Park Department leader will be on hand to provide activities for kids.)

Zero waste community meeting – 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Alameda Free Library, 1550 Oak Street

The city and CASA launched their efforts to cut down on the amount of waste sent to the garbage dumps with a series of workshops this past March.

There’s a questionnaire they’d like you to fill out in advance of the meeting, which you can get by clicking the city link above.
