Planning board talks banquet facility permit

Submitted by on 1, June 8, 2009 – 5:50 amNo Comment

coming-soonTonight, the Planning Board will consider a proposal to allow the site of the former Tied House to become a banquet and catering facility.

Neighbors had contested plans to allow the Point Marina Vista facility at 1051 Pacific Marina to remain open until 1:30 a.m. because they were concerned the plans could generate unwanted late-night noise and parking overflow into their neighborhoods.

The facility’s owners are now asking to be allowed to operate from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday and until 11:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and they have offered a host of additional concessions in what they said is an effort to work with neighbors.

The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at City Hall and (if the city’s equipment is working), it’ll be broadcast on Channel 15 and webcast on the city’s website. For more details, check out the agenda, here (it’s item 9B).
