Business retention survey online

Submitted by on 1, June 30, 2009 – 5:45 am2 Comments

Alameda’s Economic Development Commission wants to know how the city can best serve its business during these economically troubled times. They’ve posted a business support retention survey on their website.

The survey is short (10 questions) and anonymous. The deadline for participating is July 7. To get directly to the survey, click here.

I took the survey and was left wondering just which businesses were the survey's "target group(s)."

I think that many of the smaller businesses (sole proprietorships, consultants, partnerships, artists, and freelancers. etc.) may have been overlooked or ignored by the survey, but I look forward to seeing the results. I think the City of Alameda could do lots more to support island businesses with a change in its focus to include and support smaller firms.
