Your weekend: Shimmy shimmy kiddie pop!
This is looking to be a pretty quiet weekend, entertainment-wise, though the folks over at Rhythmix Cultural Center have cooked up another one of their fun kiddie events.
It’s called “Shimmy Shimmy Kids’ Dance,” and it’ll run once a month over the next three months, starting this Friday, May 29. Additional dates are June 19 and July 24. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
According to the folks at Rhythmix, they’ll be kickin’ it ’60’s-style, with music to dance to, juice boxes and healthy eats for the kids, and – perhaps most importantly – beer, wine and pizza for mom and dad.
Sounds like there will be jugglers and clowns, too. This Friday’s event features a performance by beatboxer, body percussionist and juggler Bronkar Lee.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids, and admission is free for the little ones 2 and under.
Rhythmix is at 2513 Blanding Avenue, and their phone number is 865-5060.
