Police and firefighters have cleared a three-vehicle crash that happened in the Webster Tube at about 11:30 this morning.
Alameda Fire Division Chief Daren Olson said his department transported two people to Alameda Hospital with minor injuries; a third person who was injured in the crash declined transport.
Alameda Police Lt Bill Scott said the crash occured when the cars attempted to avoid another car that had run out of gas and stalled in the Tube.
The crash was reported to the California Highway Patrol at 11:26 a.m. and it closed the Tube for about an hour, a Sig-Alert issued by the CHP shows. Alameda police and fire and Oakland police and fire responded to the crash, Olson said.
