Roberson Water Consulting Blue Devils 9 vs Piedmont Peaches 0
Pitchers Beatrice Levy, Camille Deatherage and Annika Crvarich combined to shut out the Piedmont Peaches 9-0. Madison Turner and Lizzy Avery drove in runs for the Blue Devils. Lily Walovich and Juliet Ingram continued their hot hitting for the Blue Devils which improved their record to 4 wins and 0 losses.
China House Golden Stingers 12 vs Oakland Firecrackers 9
Strong batting by the Golden Stingers led them to their first win. Tatiana Cordova, Kiley Carter, and Katie Gee lead the team in hitting with 9 runs. Angelena Navarro, Nicole Prislin, and Olivia Reising all scored runs to edge out the Firecrackers. Carter was impressive catching a pop fly to third and Olivia Treu retired the first inning. Jenna Long had two powerful hits.
McEachern Engineering Alameda Angels 11 vs Piedmont Faboons 4
The first travel game of the season for the Alameda Angels got them a win over the Piedmont Faboons. Samantha Shaffer, Grace Oransky & Mikayla Wong each had singles. Julia Boyden had a double and a homerun. Oransky pitched two innings, with 6 strikeouts, Boyden pitched two innings with 5 strikeouts. Maura Willow stepped in behind the plate and did a fantastic job along with Nora Kettles slide at 2nd and home plate took the Angels soaring.
Law Offices of Paul Mahler Green Sea Serpents 7 vs McEachern Engineering Alameda Angels 6
The Serpents came back from a 5-0 deficit to win against the Angels. On defense, Andi Wiley caught a fly ball and alertly stepped on second for an unassisted double play. After that spark the Serpents scored 4 runs, with Marissa Wood, Yasmine Ragan, and Zhana Prince all contributing. Angel Julia Boyden hit a monster home run to tie the game, but the Serpents came back with a run for the win.
Law Offices of Paul Mahler Green Sea Serpents 4 vs San Lorenzo Volcanoes 4
The Serpents battled back to a tie after being down 4-0 to the Volcanoes. The offensive highlight was a game-tying two-run homer by Alanna Reyes in the fifth. Rachel Wellman continued her hitting streak and Esther McCarthy had an RBI double in the third. Lizzie Allan reached base safely twice, and was unfazed after taking one for the team in the second. On defense, Sally Parsons played two strong innings as catcher.
Bayside Specialty Construction Black Widows 7 vs Gallagher and Lindsey Realtors Blue Bombers 6
On April 1, the Widows fooled the Bombers pretty well. Alanna Norman smacked an RBI single and stole a couple of bases, and middle reliever Elizabeth Fraser pitched two innings and made a great putout at first. Starting pitcher Vivienne Saulovich helped herself with a 2-RBI triple and struck out the side with the tying run on third, to close out the game.
Alameda Bayside Specialty Construction Black Widows 15 vs Piedmont Purple Pandas 7
The Widows pounced on the Pandas, taking a shutout 15-run lead into the last inning. Sarah Mahler started it off, with her first hit of the season, and catcher Alanna Norman threw out a base stealer at third. Adia Tajima pitched a great inning, striking out the side. Stopping a last inning Panda rally, Vivienne Saulovich stepped in to strike out the final batter.
Gallagher and Lindsey Blue Bombers 6 vs Oakland Night 4
Victoria Reim of the Blue Bombers scored the first run of the game and made her debut on the mound in the third inning. Chloe Hodge hit a single. Playing catcher, Jackie Smith made great infield throws to her teammates. Alexis Esparza made a put out at first base. Playing left field Anna Lynch made a strong throw for an out at third.
Danish Interior Blackberries 15 vs Piedmont #1 9
The Danish Interior Blackberries went on the road and defeated Piedmont #1, 15-9. Liane Bauer and Gabriella Navarro got the scoring going early with RBI hits in the 1st inning. Catalina Dalton finished with a game high 5 RBIs. Defensively Anne Kelly caught a fly at short and doubled a runner off first.
Seven Salon Blueberry Pop-tarts 5 vs Oakland Dynamite 3
The Blueberry Pop-Tarts played well to defeat a strong Oakland team. Caroline Liu pitched another phenomenal game and contributed from the plate with an RBI single, a double and scored two runs. Tabitha Zaragoza had a solid game on defense. Tara Toy showed her toughness with great defense and a clutch RBI single. Sidney Swain contributed with a RBI as well. Sasita Knauer pitched two scoreless innings and continued her four game hitting streak.
Douglas S. Mitchell, DMD/Alameda Credit Union (RED) 13 vs San Lorenzo Fusion 12
This was an all hitting and stealing home game. Caitlin Shener had a single, two RBIs and stole home. Samantha Williams had a single, 2 RBIs and stole home twice. Kennedy Hanson had a single and a RBI. Bernadette Steele had two singles and a RBI. Dominique Shaver had a triple, 3 RBIs and stole home. The (RED) had awesome hitting, base stealing, pitching and great defense to win over the Fusion.
