Holy traffic jam, Batman!
Updated 8:08 a.m. Tuesday, April 7
Just came out of the Webster Tube from Oakland and it looks like the Constitution Avenue ramp is shut and the folks from Caltrans are doing some kind of work there.
I checked in with the folks from Caltrans to see what’s going on and for how long, and I’ll get back to you when I have more (I checked the Caltrans website but couldn’t get a definitive answer there). In the meantime, watch that left turn from Webster onto Ralph Appezzato folks, it was a loooong wait at around 11:30 this morning when I was over there, likely to get worse later today if the ramp stays closed.
Oh, and just to let you know, it looks like the Webster Tube will be closed Wednesday night to Thursday morning for “urgfent repairs,” per the Alameda County Public Works website. It’ll be closed from 9:30 p.m. Wednesday to 4:30 a.m. Thursday. Looks like the Tubes will be closed on April 21 (Posey) and April 22 (Webster) for overnight call box maintenance as well. I’ll keep you posted.
Update: Looks like the ramp is going to be closed again Tuesday (April 7), from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Caltrans says the closure is for “landscaping activities.”
