Kohl’s is open!
There has been so much big-time news on this little Island over the past few days (FISC fire, city suits, big ballot initiatives) that I thought I’d lighten up a little by letting you know that Kohl’s is open over at Alameda Towne Centre.
The official grand opening is April 1 (no joke!), but the store actually opened Sunday. When I stopped by around noon, the store had a pretty good crowd of folks who I’d guess were glad they can once again buy an array of housewares plus socks and underwear for the kids (that’s why I was there), without leaving the Island (ditto).They also had a little section with toys in it, which is great if you need to pick up a quick birthday present (think Bakugan balls and other character toys, Play Doh and Fisher Price tot toys.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Kohl’s, it’s basically Mervyn’s, but not bankrupt.
Anyhoo, they’re open. So you can check ‘em out.
