Welcome to the future of news

Welcome to The Island 2.0, your source for up-to-the-minute Alameda news! (Okay, maybe it’s more like up-to-the-hour, and some days, jeez, I’m … but hey, who’s counting?)

Anyhoo. I’ve been working for the past year to keep you posted on what’s going on around Alameda, from the latest City Council happenings to new restaurant openings, profiles on some of the interesting characters around here, and everything in between.

Now I’ve got a new site, and I’m going to be working to broaden what I have to offer you, dear reader. Got some business news to share? Send it my way. School fundraiser? Let me know. Got an announcement, a comment? I’m interested. If you’re looking to subscribe, click the links on the bottom left-hand side of the page. And if you want to support my work by advertising, I’ve got space for you, too.

This is an evolving process, and as always, I’m interested in what you have to say. Got comment, suggestions about news you’d like to see covered? Let me know. Drop me an e-mail, at islandblog@gmail.com. And as always, thanks for reading!
