That’s right … venerable barbecue joint Everett and Jones has opened for business at its new Alameda location, 1518 Webster Street. They’ve got the wood-smoked pork ribs, the homemade beef links … and some really cool mini-hibachi lights hanging from the ceiling.

” I hunted everywhere to get those,” Annie Everett-Jones said. “They’re mostly from Long’s. They had the most.”

They’ll be open from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. on Sunday, offering an array of barbecued meats and sides (baked beans, greens, candied yams and more). They’ve got a catering menu too.

They’re still working on their website, but if you’ve got questions, you can stop in or call them at 749-7084.
