Alameda Children’s Musical Theater is putting on a production of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” starting at 7:30 tonight at the Little Theater, 2200 Central Avenue. The show is directed by Gene Kahane and produced by Marna Mitchell.

The theater company, started in 1983, aims to produce “quality children’s theatre, performed by children” on a budget. Recent productions include “The Truth About Cinderella,” “ALICE” and “Seussical, the Musical.” The company also offers summer camps.

The shows are at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 1:30 p.m. Sundays through December 14. Tickets are $12, $6 for children, seniors and military, with group discounts available.
