UPDATED Calling it
UPDATE 9:50 A.M.: It’s over, folks. We just got an e-mail from Registrar of Voters spokesman Guy Ashley, and he said they’re all done counting ballots. They expect to certify this election on November 26.
Alternate title for this post being “Wake me up when November ends.”
So we’ve got some fresh election results, though it looks like not much has changed since this election supposedly ended almost two weeks ago (Get everyone to vote absentee? Great idea!).
With what we’re estimating is about 99 percent of the votes counted (based on the presidential vote tally, they’ve got maybe 5,600 ballots left), we’d only have another few hundred votes left from Alameda to count.
So that means we’re ready to call it for Niel Tam, Trish Spencer and Ron Mooney for school board. And we’re feeling even more confident about finally saying Measure P has passed.
Anyway, if you want those maybe-almost-final results, they’re to your right. And we’ll let you know when it’s all over.
