NEW VOTE COUNTS IN
So we’ve been hitting the darned “Refresh results” all afternoon on the county ROV website, kind of like waiting for the Great Pumpkin, and we’ve been rewarded! (Finally!)
Quick and dirty: With about 34,000 absentees counted countywide (out of the 150,000 votes that were left to count), Tam, Spencer and Mooney are maintaining their leads in the school board race, and Measure P, the property transfer tax increase, is up by another few hundred votes. Looks like they’ve got about 25,000 or so votes counted for Alameda thus far (that’s about 1,400 more than before, per Mike McMahon).
No word yet on how many ballots are from the Island (and we may not have this ’til the end, so hang tight).
Results are here. Happy weekend!
